Never underestimate the power of small, everyday actions. Recycling just one paper cup might not seem like a game-changer. Think about it this way… 🇮🇪 Approximately 1.3 million people live in the greater Dublin area.  🥤 Paper cups weigh about 18g each. 🐘 One elephant weighs about 6.8 tonnes. ♻️ So, if every person in Dublin recycled just one paper cup, that would equate to approximately 23.4 tonnes of recyclable material – the weight of around 3 and a half elephants! 🧑Each person. 🥤 Recycling just one cup. 🐘 3 and a half elephants’ worth of cups! ♻️ Now imagine the collective impact if Dubliners each committed to recycling 10 or 20 or even 100 paper cups a year. 🤯 That’s a lot of elephants. More than 2,855kg of various plastics has been recycled on our Medway contract as part of supply chain partner, Cusack’s, Zero to Landfill recycling scheme♻   In an effort to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill, we have partnered with Cusack to palletise plastics that would usually be unrecyclable. These include ped barriers, traffic cones, grit bins and bollards.   The pallets are then collected and recycled, which are then reused to make ped barrier feet which the business purchases as replacements for our ped barriers.   This sustainable approach creates a circular economy, achieving no waste and extending the life cycle of everyday highway products ✅ #circulareconomy #recycling

We cannot get over this cute photo sent to us by our colleague Lucia Janosikova, capturing her daughter recycling aluminum cans in a reverse vending machine. 🤩♻️ It makes us realize that every day our work positively impacts the lives of millions of people in the five countries where we have already implemented the IT solution for the Deposit Return Scheme. Our software gathers all stakeholders in the process chain within one reliable and robust system. This is one of the main pillars successfully contributing to the collection of more than hundreds of millions of beverage containers so far, ensuring that the valuable materials are recycled and reintegrated into the circular economy.
