The company wants to change traditional construction methods. To do this, it has created construction robots that can autonomously build walls. This previously seemed something impossible for the industry. The robots are equipped with computer vision technology and small cranes. This enables them to perform brick-laying tasks with a high level of precision and efficiency. Specially developed Atrium software allows them to maneuver easily in tight corners and doorways. Homebuilding Evolution: The Rise of BotBuilt's AI Framing System -Kyle Wiggers Durham-based startup BotBuilt, founded in 2020, aims to revolutionize homebuilding with an AI-powered robotic system focused on framing construction. The system interprets building plans, translates them into machine commands, and constructs framing components such as walls and roof trusses. By automating framing, BotBuilt aims to accelerate homebuilding, reduce costs, and address skilled labor shortages. The system is flexible, allowing quick reprogramming for different frame designs. Although currently at a modest nine homes built and $75,000 in revenue, BotBuilt plans to scale operations in 2024, with $12.4 million in seed funding from investors like Shadow Ventures. 🎬 ICOMA is a hardware startup that is developing a transformable bike with a power supply function, the TATAMEL BIKE. This bike doesn’t require a parking space and can be used as a stockpiled power source. The bike can be folded into a small square box that fits under a standard office desk.
