Our initial monthly meeting 2024 comprised two distinct sessions: one held in person and the other conducted online. I hope you can join us for this session next Wednesday (June 5) at 2pm CET. The transformations of tomorrow will come from the young visionaries of today. I am deeply inspired by the young and emerging evaluators we will hear from in this session. In fact, I regard them as fully emerged professionals, given their exceptional competence, extensive experience, and valuable insights on an important topic: the transformational potential of the future they and the next generations will inherit.

The inspiring #ACFLeadersForum24 event yesterday, challenged us to consider how the network of funders reacts to the pressures of climate change. I had the pleasure of facilitating a workshop session. The response from the group that joined me was fantastic. We were searching for actions that support organisations to make the link between missions, climate and nature. The keynote speech from Baroness Brown Julia King DBE FREng FRS set the session up perfectly, where we discussed that all missions are linked to climate and nature, not least because the human species is part of nature. The groups selected key challenges to focus on: 🎓 Lack of Expertise ⚛️ Complexity of Climate Issues 💰 Limited Financial Resources 🚧 Misalignment with Existing Mandates 🧺 Siloed funding structures. It was difficult to summarise just one key action for each group, but some common themes emerged around, collaboration, creativity, community, co-benefits and confidence.
