As our Autumn 2023 cohort nears the end of their 12-week journey, I have been reflecting on the recurrent nature of certain themes that have arisen again and again in the experiences of Labyrxnth participants. One such theme is the existence of a dialectical tension between the head and the heart, or between intellect and intuition or felt sense. Heading into 2024, I have a personal goal to be more mindful of noticing this theme as it appears in my own life. Khalil Gibran says, "When you reach the end of what you should know, you will be at the beginning of what you should sense." Intellectual knowledge and "shoulds" only get us so far; felt sense can provide us with the instinctual, embodied knowledge necessary for deep and authentic self-exploration. Labyrxnth still has space for a few participants in the upcoming Winter 2024 cohort. If you are interested in exploring the interplay between your own head and heart, or if you have other themes you'd like to delve into this winter, schedule a chat with founder and CEO Christina Ducruet Ross through the link below. As a bonus, you'll receive a discount for signing up before January 1!

Thrilled to have attended PLGTM 2024, a much needed event that brought all the folks who sort of know each other in the PLG space under one roof. It was wonderful to meet with familiar faces and make new connections. Here are some of my key takeaways: 1. AI for PLG was a hot topic, and no one was more insightful about staying at the cutting edge of innovation than Marcel Santilli at Deepgram. His perspective is a must follow for anyone in the PLG space. 2. The importance of instrumentation was highlighted in a great talk by Sarah Krasnik Bedell from Prefect who did an excellent job balancing the technical details. 3. Dani Grant of Jam.dev provided a counterpoint, emphasizing the criticality of brand in PLG - something that's easy to say but hard to execute effectively. 4. Finally, Tido Carriero and the folks at Koala are pioneering a new approach to monetizing inbound leads, which appears to be highly effective. Thanks for the high density conversations over lunch, breaks and happy hours - Nalin Senthamil, Drew Noel, K. Matthew Dupree, Jen Shi, Courtney Coyne, Ramu Yalamanchi Gururaj Pandurangi, Philippe Boutros, Vijay Sankaran Atul Raghunathan, Dana Yobst, Lauren Rhode, Michelle Ji-Yeun Kim Cody Farmer Vijaya Koneru Braydan Young Jeff Yoshimura, Elin Lütz Matthew Shwery Tierney Pretzer, Mary D., Pål Fredrik Braaten Anirudh Madhavan Avishek Roy Ashley A. Cruz Kate Caldecott and many more Finally, heartfelt thanks to Dave Rigotti Aaron Bird and the entire Inflection.io team for putting this event together. Also, thanks to Ziv Wangenheim and the Rupert team for organizing the happy hour! #PLG #Productled #productledgrowth #AI

Scientists have long been challenged by the complex process of drug discovery and development, with investments that often go unrewarded. However, with the advancement of experimental technology and computer hardware, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a leading tool in analyzing abundant and high-dimensional data. It can be used in the discovery of drug targets, the design and development of new drugs, preclinical research, clinical trial design, and post-market surveillance to assist in the design of safe and effective drugs. While some limitations still remain in the AI-based drug R&D process, it is assumed that AI is an indispensable technology for the discovery of new drugs. In this context, it is remarkable that small companies with their power to innovate may play an important role in driving such technologies forward. One of those companies which I find particularly interesting is Kantify. Kantify is a European "TechBio" with the mission to improve human health with Artificial Intelligence. The company has developed a next generation small molecule discovery AI/ML platform, Zeptomics, which accelerates small molecule discovery and target identification with high performance and speed. Thanks to its breakthrough technology, the company is developing a growing pipeline of assets in oncology and rare diseases, including some small molecules and degraders for targets which were previously undrugged. It has established partnerships with research labs in Europe, the US and Singapore and has obtained extremely promising results on various targets.
At Kantify, we are committed to advancing pioneering science. In less than 30 seconds, this new video encapsulates our journey and our profound societal mission. Enjoy!
