"I really suspect we'd derive value from evaluating our own data with external sources, but who has the bandwidth?" In our daily conversation with leaders in public agencies, private enterprise and nonprofits, this is a very common theme. That's why we developed a workshop, typically 60-90 minutes, virtual or in-person, to explore what organizations have, what they don't have, and give third-party, expert perspective on ways to move forward. #GovTech #PropTech #CRE #Spatial #Cities #Facilities

Reflecting on the #DAREUKDriverProjects 🔽 4️⃣ TRE-FX: Delivering a federated network of trusted research environments to enable safe data analytics The TRE-FX project developed technical solutions to overcome geographical and governance barriers in the UK’s distributed trusted research environment (TRE) system, crucial for large-scale data research. Public Involvement and Engagement (PIE) was key to aligning the projects solutions with public expectations, fostering trust, and ensuring success. Here are some of the TRE-FX team's PIE efforts: 📊 Strategic Involvement: The TRE-FX project ensured public perspectives were central to decision-making by having a member of the public chair project meetings, providing unique insights and alignment with wider public expectations. 🌐 Multiple Outreach Channels: The team collaborated with Alterline and Pioneer Health Data Research Hub to reach a diverse audience and effectively promote PIE activities through established networks. 🤝 Inclusive Workshops and Focus Groups: The team held two interactive workshops and targeted focus group discussions to facilitate open dialogue on federated analytics, data security, and personal data usage, allowing active public contributions. 📖 Accessible Information Materials: The team co-created brochures and instructional videos with public input to translate complex technical information into accessible messages, fostering informed discussions about the TRE-FX project and its innovations. Another TALiNT Partners event, another jam packed day with opinions, insights, disagreements and off-script questions... Great to be part of the 'Next Generation of Roles and Talent Strategies' panel with Tim Cook of nGAGE Talent & Julie Fouad at IMS People Possible, sharing my thoughts on how data is king, the increased trend of Marketing being involved in tech buying decisions, and how AI will impact jobs in the next 12 months. Some of the main takeaways... - 2023 shall not be spoken of again - There's quiet optimism for 2024, despite the unknowns for many elections happening this year - Ironically, AI is making companies reflect on their old school ways and emphasising the human element of engagement - Transformation, of any kind, requires a clear vision with why, why, why being constantly communicated - Turn the DEI conversation into real speak - avoid the acronyms and ask the right questions of what you're aiming to achieve with these initiatives - Become obsessed with data if you want your technology to drive change Ken Brotherston, Alex Evans, Shaun Weise, Khyati P., Marisa Kacary, Kevin Freeguard, Ollie Harrison, Felix Wetzel, Daniel Haslam, Ben Broughton, Seb O'Connell, Amy Davies, David Gettins, Simon Fanshawe.

Social Entrepreneur | Founder & CEO Commonlands | Revolutionizing Credit Delivery, Restoring Trust & Empowering Billions Worldwide with Decentralized Technology
Here’s what I love about “decentralization” 👇👇 ➡ Its ability to shift power from centralized authorities to individuals and communities. I love that financial systems can be controlled by the people they serve. Or Decision-making processes where everyone has a voice. ️ Here's how it aligns with our mission at Commonlands: ➡ It opens doors to credit, savings, and other financial services for those currently excluded from traditional systems. ➡ Local communities could have more control over their resources and decision-making. ➡ Decentralized systems can be more transparent, reducing corruption and ensuring resources reach those who need them most. However, challenges to consider are: 👉 Technical barriers 👉 Potential misuse 👉 Equitable access This is WHY we create awareness of Commonlands solution in a simpler way instead of unnecessary tech jargon. >>> What are your biggest questions/concerns about “decentralization”?
