Happy work anniversary to Sabrina, our wonderful Therapy Program Supervisor, for her three-year milestone! Starting as a Pediatric PT, Sabrina has become a valuable leader at our Southeast HUB's motor team. Here's to her remarkable achievements and the ones yet to come! “I started with this company three years ago working for three different home health companies as PRN field staff. It didn’t take long to soon learn that Thrive SPC was far superior in company work culture and ethics compared to other companies! A direct reflection of Kaylee and Miryela’s clinical leadership and administrative support."

✨️✨️✨️She was ahead of her time in this profession✨️✨️✨️... ✍️Florence Nightingale's quote, "I think one's feelings waste themselves in words; they ought to be distilled into actions which bring results," caught my eye while reading the Nurse Preceptor Program Builder by Diana Swihart. It was enlightening to understand why this was placed at the top of the Orientation and Competency chapter. The idea of transforming feelings into actions aligns closely with competency-based orientation and assessment for several reasons: 1. Action-Oriented: It emphasizes the practical application of skills, moving beyond mere discussion. 2. Measurable Outcomes: It focuses on achieving tangible results and meeting performance standards. 3. Continuous Improvement: It encourages ongoing development through consistent practice. 4. Feedback and Adaptation: It involves regular feedback and adjustments to foster growth. Both the quote and competency-based approaches advocate for meaningful actions over mere words, aiming for specific, measurable results. Florence was indeed ahead of her time in this profession!!

Ever wondered what lawyers and doctors have in common? 🤔 : 1. Precision is Key: Doctors have precision with scalpels, lawyers with words. Both can leave a lasting impact! 2. Consultation Fees: Both charge for their time, and somehow, it always feels like a fortune. 3. Specialized Jargon: Doctors have medical terms, lawyers have legalese. Either way, you’ll need Google to understand! 4. Emergency Calls: Midnight calls? Doctors handle medical crises, lawyers handle legal emergencies. Sleep is a luxury for both! 5. Mysterious Prescriptions: Doctors prescribe medicines, lawyers prescribe contracts. Good luck deciphering either without help! 6. Life-Savers: One saves lives, the other saves…well, your life’s work, sometimes! 😉 Next time you’re in need, remember: a lawyer and a doctor are more alike than you think. Both are essential, both are skilled, and both have a knack for giving you heart palpitations—albeit for different reasons! #Lawyers #Doctors #Humor #LifeOfAProfessional

HRIS and People Analytics Expert l People & Culture Advocate l HR Professional with a decade of experience specializing in innovation, inclusion, change management, and strategic analytics
March 2023, I had the privilege of attending Philly SHRM's one-day symposium and hearing Andre Young speak. His session left me inspired and changed the way I thought about accomplishments. He spoke about on how many of us, especially women, often go to bed focusing on what we didn't achieve rather than celebrating what we did. I decided to start noting down my daily accomplishments, and it wasn't easy at first. I had a habit of searching for grand achievements. But over time, I realized that even the seemingly small victories were worth acknowledging. My definition of accomplishment began to shift. Instead of solely focusing on work-related feats like "implementing a new mechanism that cut processing time from 60 to 15 minutes," I started appreciating moments like "spending quality time with my dog (instead working late to answer emails as quickly as possible)" or "finally catching up on much-needed sleep (even though I missed my workout)." This practice not only helped me find silver linings but also taught me to celebrate the little things in life. I even involved my husband in this exercise, asking him to share his accomplishment of the day. It allowed me to understand what made him feel accomplished and to celebrate his wins alongside mine. While learning new skills to advance our careers is important, I've come to realize that learning to enhance our entire lives is even more valuable. Looking back on a year's worth of written accomplishments, I can see how this simple practice has enriched my perspective and life. I can’t wait to see what we “accomplish” this year.

Last night, I had the honor of receiving an award that left me both surprised, humbled and forever grateful. Over the past three years, I've had the privilege of helping Belmont University students turn ideas into businesses, and in doing so, I've discovered a timeless truth for myself: time, for me, is measured by what lies in my heart — helping people and looking at things differently. In every interaction, every question asked and every challenge faced, my heart has been my compass guiding me for something different. The joy of seeing students flourish isn't marked by my time, but by the genuine connection and impact we can truly make on other's lives around us. My goal and my heart is dedicated to fostering a better future for all of us, and that's what I strive to lead with every day. During my my Nursing School journey, I adopted the habit of asking direct questions, asking 'why' five times — a skill crafted in Nursing school and with assistance from one of my clinical instructors. It's a tool that digs deep, unravels layers and helps us understand the true meaning behind the actions and decisions we make. It's about getting to the root, understanding the actual ‘why’ behind things. Belmont has allowed me to become a beacon of hope for the future and I carry that responsibility and duty with pride every day. As I reflect on these years, it's astonishing how time seems to stand still, not because it lingers, but because it's filled with moments of witnessing individuals evolve into positive contributors to their networks around them. Triumphs and overcoming challenges are some of my greatest joys in life. I will continue to tread the path less taken, to do what others might shy away from, because it is in these challenges that I believe our greatest opportunities lie.

Happy #FACSfamFriday, everyone! Next to enter our spotlight is Madeleine Dangazyan, MS, CIH! Madeleine is a Senior Project Manager, MS, CIH, and is out of the Los Angeles office. She is an enormous science enthusiast, particularly in chemistry. Check out Madeleine's responses to our questions below, as well as a photo of her with her family celebrating her daughters' graduations. Do you have any questions for Madeleine or other FACS employees you'd like to see answered in the next #FACSfamFriday? Let us know by commenting on this post. What’s your favorite thing about working at FACS? I have the privilege of working with such an amazing, talented, intelligent, fun group of individuals. But mostly, I feel like family at FACS, and it is very rare to find a workplace where individuals feel truly cared for. What is one thing we don't know about you (non-work-related)? I love to read and binge-watch psychological thrillers. What is one thing that you geek out about? All things science; particularly chemistry.....You know the saying....."you can take the girl out of the lab, ......but you can't take the lab out of the girl". I am elated anytime a FACS project takes me to a laboratory environment. It's a total geek fest! What is your favorite store to shop at in-person or virtually? I love to shop at Home Goods. I can browse the isles for hours looking for trinkets, knick knacks and all things Homey & Good!! What makes you laugh the most? Quirky dad jokes. The quirkier, the more belly-aching laugh. I love them! If you were a super-hero, what power would you want? Not sure if this counts as super hero power, but I would love to get my hands on Wonderwoman's Lasso of truth..... What is your favorite random fact? Otters sleep holding hands, so they don't drift apart while asleep. Isn't this awesome? I think they hold the secret to a strong, lasting relationship, both figuratively and literally!
