Reason Three why you may choose to give to Rocky Mountain Wild in these last few days of the end-of-the-year fundraising: Better Public Lands Management. This year, the Bureau of Land Management proposed a Public Lands Rule that would modernize their national policies to balance conservation with other uses on public lands. Alison led a virtual workshop about commenting on the rule and worked with partner organizations to support this important reform. Did you know that this month is American Red Cross Month?⛑️ It's important to recognize the vital role that the organization plays in supporting communities across the country. One of the most critical areas of focus for the Red Cross is home fire prevention and relief. Every year, thousands of families are impacted by devastating home fires, and the Red Cross is there to provide support and assistance in the aftermath. As one of their Safety Campaigns, the Red Cross works to educate families on fire safety and prevention. In addition, they offer resources and support to help families get back on their feet after a fire, including temporary shelter, food, and clothing. This month, let’s take a moment to recognize the incredible work that the American Red Cross does to keep our communities safe. Whether it’s through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word about their important mission, we can all play a role to help make a difference! #americanredcrossmonth #americanredcross #providingaide #safetyfirst #firesafetyeducation #fireprevention #firerelief #jackwardfireconsultants #originandcausefireinvestiation #fireinvestigation

Yea it’s a five minute video, who watches those anymore! However, if you followed us over the course of Serve Week 2024 (The Ocho) this is an awesome wrap up and great work by the team. We try and use LinkedIn to open a window into our culture. And while Foundry Commercial isn’t perfect and we will always have work to do in pursuit of our standards, I think this is one of the things we get really right. We are a services company and spending time with these amazing organizations, which we encourage you to check out and support, reminds us what true service looks like. It is a week where we try to give back and we always end up getting so much more than we give. Great job Lauren and the entire Serve Week support team. #foundrycommercial #itspersonal #theocho #serveweek2024

Peat, soils apparently accumulate at 1mm per year. With that calculation it means that 1m of peat took approximately 1000 years to form. Peat is such an essential part of the ecosystem that the UK government has introduced a ban on the sale of bagged peat compost, which is popular very popular for container gardens due to its excellence water retention properties. The ban on all peat-based gardening products will be expected to take effect by 2030. It's time to look for sustainable alternatives and protect this essential resource.
“#Peatlands are a type of wetland that plays important roles in the environment, including absorbing carbon from the atmosphere and supporting an abundant array of wildlife.” 🌱 🐾 From providing drinking water to supporting educational activities, peatlands offer numerous benefits to people.
