I know you might not be thrilled about LinkedIn, but let's face it - it's necessary in today's job market. And I hate to break it to you, but most of you have a less-than-stellar LinkedIn profile. No offense, but it's time for some tough love. Here are a few reasons why your profile might be falling short: 1. Your Contact Info tab is empty. How do you expect anyone to reach out if your email isn't even listed? 2. You think adding your website link in the About section creates a hyperlink. Spoiler alert: it doesn't. 3. It's obvious you haven't updated your profile in ages. You might live in New York now, but your profile still says Nashville. I get it, LinkedIn isn't the most exciting platform, but it's how recruiters and potential employers are going to find you and validate your credentials. So, as much as you might want to ignore it, you can't afford to let your profile suck. Take some time to spruce it up, and you'll be one step closer to landing that dream job.

Regretly force myself to post this. Everyone says LinkedIn is best plateform where you can look/find and get your desired jobs. But it's only rumour, wordings, not in reality. Indeed, required person are just getting ignorance after applied thru links/email I'ds. Even sent several followups or reminders, Result remain same, as NOTHING.* Reason, Recruiters, Agencies, Peoples trying to act as recruiter. Astonishing, their desires only getting likes, and raise their follow on their posts. I think they're not aware this is LinkedIn, not Facebook or Instagram. Need to educate them to come out from that mindset. Because peoples are getting heartbreak by their fake post, loosing hopes from LinkedIn, and Resulting negetivity spread out for linkedin community.

Proven Senior Product Marketing Manager who drives growth. Expert in identity/biometrics. Seeking an individual contributor role on a co-creative team delivering exceptional business results.
Someone just announced they were deleting their LinkedIn account because their speech had been stifled. I didn’t bother to comment…because they are deleting their account. (Why do people announce when they delete their accounts? The announcement will soon disappear anyway…unless they were lying and/or don’t follow through on account deletion.) But I do want to comment on one thing they tangentially said: “Anyone that tells you LinkedIn is essential to advance your career is living in an alternate reality.” This is actually true. If LinkedIn were to disappear tomorrow, I would still be able to visit the career pages of my target identity/biometric companies. I don’t depend on LinkedIn, or Indeed, or Jane’s Really Cool Job Board, to be the intermediary; I can go directly to the companies myself. InMail would be a loss, but I could still figure out contacts at companies and guess their email addresses. (Here’s a little secret: if you address an email to the incorrect address and it bounces, THEY WILL NEVER FIND OUT.) Yes, my networking, job search, and consulting client pursuit would be degraded if LinkedIn were no longer available…but it wouldn’t be completely harmed.

Don't abandon your LinkedIn profile after getting a job! I know people who only use LinkedIn when job searching. But once hired, they ghost their profiles. Don't make that mistake! Keep your LinkedIn active year-round. When you need it most, an abandoned profile will come back to haunt you! LinkedIn has SO much more to offer career-wise when you show up consistently

You will not get a job on LinkedIn if you don't optimize your account... Yes, simply having a LinkedIn profile is not enough You should know how to use LinkedIn well Here are the 5 main things you should set : - Your profile photo must be professional (don't worry, you can smile). - Your banner should be proper. - Your current job or the job you want should be mentioned in the title. - Your "About" section should be clear. - Change your location to where you want to work. Why should you do this? ◾ Your profile is the first thing that everyone notices. ◾ Your banner showcases your professional image. ◾A good title helps you to be searchable by hiring people. ◾Your "About" section shows who you are. ◾Hiring people filter location while searching for candidates. #Linkedin #Linkedinjob #Linkedingrowth
