Torque Metals Ltd (ASX:TOR) continues to strengthen the critical minerals potential of the New Dawn #Lithium Project in Western Australia with all 17 holes from a reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign intersecting vertically stacked pegmatites. Thick, continuous pegmatite lodes were intersected in the completed campaign of about 5,000 metres which aimed to test and extend the company’s maiden exploration target that was announced last week for New Dawn, which is 600 metres west of the active Bald Hill Lithium Tantalum mine of MinRes. The conceptual exploration target is 8-14 million tonnes grading 1.0-1.2% lithium oxide, which highlights the potential for continued mineralisation along the New Dawn trend and guides Torque toward an initial mineral resource estimate. Leeuwin Metals Ltd (ASX:LM1) has begun field mapping over promising lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites at the Cross Lake Lithium Project in Manitoba, Canada, following up last year’s exploration, which identified a 4.7-kilometre prospective #lithium corridor. The fieldwork will better inform LM1 as to the position and nature of #spodumene (hard rock lithium) mineralisation in unexplored areas of the project. Hyperspectral imagery and desktop targeting has identified more than 300 walk-up targets to be tested in 2024. Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) is encouraged by results from its recently completed diamond drilling program at the Bethanga Porphyry #Copper #Gold Project, 260 kilometres northeast of Melbourne in Victoria. The program, which wrapped up in April, consisted of three deep diamond drill holes across 1,516 metres and targeted magnetic and geochemical zones identified in a previous porphyry copper-gold fertility study. Geochemical and hyperspectral results from the drilling have been consistent with the presence of magmatic-hydrothermal fluids typical of such systems. Notable element concentrations included gold at 3.23 parts per million (ppm), copper (474 ppm), arsenic (9,840 ppm), bismuth (36.3 ppm) and zinc (1,900 ppm). Announces Assay Results from its 2023 Inaugural Drill Program at the Mia Lithium Property, James Bay Territory, Quebec, Canada Highlights: Confirmed presence of wide spodumene-mineralized pegmatites containing high grade intervals at the Mia and Carte zones: Mia Zone – 17.8 m at 1.51% Li2O, including 12.2 m of 2.16% Li2O (MIA23-004) Carte Zone – 7.3 m at 0.94% Li2O, including 4.4 m of 1.40% Li2O (MIA23-007) Continuity of mineralization at the Mia 1 & 2 zones. Core assay results remain to be reported for the 20 drill holes from the Company’s approximately 3,085 m Winter 2024 Drill Program. Torque Metals has fielded promising assay results from its first reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the New Dawn Lithium Project. There are encouraging signs of high-grade lithium deposits at the project, which also has the advantage of being just 600 metres west of the active Bald Hill lithium-tantalum mine. The drilling campaign, which included 19 RC and two diamond holes, has intersected significant spodumene-bearing pegmatites, with a peak lithium oxide (Li2O) grade of 3.99%. A highlight from the drill results was hole 23NDRC016, which intersected 35 cumulative metres of lithium mineralised pegmatites. Accelerate Resources Limited (ASX:AX8) has confirmed extended #lithium mineralisation at Prinsep Lithium Project in Western Australia's West Pilbara region, setting the stage for imminent drilling activities. Prinsep, conveniently situated near Karratha and in the same region as Azure Minerals' Andover discovery, has turned up some promising assay results from recent rock chip sampling, which point to potential within the burgeoning Karratha-Roebourne lithium belt.
