Hippocrates Oath.." Primum non nocere" In the oath, the physician executing Any MD or non MD function within society he/ she must respect... Physician is oblidged to educate himself constantly about any science progress and accuratelly inform and guide others, pledges to prescribe Only beneficial treatments, according to his abilities and judgment; to refrain from causing ANY harm or hurt .. The consensus was on the basic principles: beneficence, non-maleficence, justice and respect for the patient's Autonomy ( autonomous informed decision= consent/ assent with proposed preventive or therapeutic approach) with its two rules of Confidentiality and Veracity. The Hippocratic Oath specifies the principles of Beneficence and non-maleficence and the rule of Confidentiality.
