Physical health has worsened since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which can have detrimental effects on employers. That's according to Gallup survey results released on December 14, 2023 showing that workers with poor physical health and well-being generally suffer much higher levels of unplanned absenteeism and healthcare utilization (and associated costs) than their counterparts. What can employers do? A good start would be to focus on benefits programs that address risk factors and help influence how an employee can show up and maintain a healthy lifestyle both in and out of the office. https://lnkd.in/giPwcxnW  #PhysicalHealth #EmployerHealth #Wellbeing #Absenteeism #HealthcareUtilization #SocialDeterminantsOfWork
