Hiring is a team sport. The recruiter and hiring manager discuss the standards of hiring. They establish what "good" looks like. Recruiters serve as advisors in finding talent and provide feedback to the candidates and hiring managers. Often, the hiring manager works with the internal team to set up the interview protocols. "Mistakes love a rushed decision." Is it better to lose a good candidate than to place a bad one?... Here's the deal. There's no silver bullet when it comes to finding and retaining talent. And sometimes, you'll find out later that they were just a great interviewer. Is there any real way around this dilemma? Some companies / hiring managers like the "hire slow, fire fast" method.
