Excited to share about my recent trip to Vietnam! Witnessing the incredible growth and development in this beautiful country was truly inspiring. From bustling cities to serene landscapes, Vietnam has so much to offer. The innovation and progress I observed during my visit are a testament to the hard work and resilience of the Vietnamese people. Vietnam is not just a travel destination; it's a thriving hub of opportunities and collaboration. As businesses expand and technology advances, there's a palpable sense of optimism in the air. Due to trade frictions with China, Vietnam has become an attractive place to invest. From January to October last year, there was about $18.84 billion FDI poured into manufacturing projects. In ‘23, Vietnam saw an increase in their GDP at 5.05% with an expected growth of 6% this year. The booming economy, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality makes Vietnam a unique experience. It's increase in consumer spending, exporting sectors, and FDI's make it a promising place to invest. Grateful for the chance to explore this dynamic nation and witness firsthand the strides it's making on the global stage. Looking forward to future engagements and partnerships that contribute to the continued growth of Vietnam. Let's continue to collaborate and build a better future together! In leveraging such opportunities, the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) concluded a successful business mission to #Türkiye, taking seven Singapore companies to explore emerging opportunities in the food trade and logistics sectors. The week-long trip, held from 22nd to 28th September 2024, included visits to key cities #Istanbul and #Izmir and was supported by Enterprise Singapore. Sustainability, Climate Action, Economic Development | Bridging the worlds of business and diplomacy—helping organizations and governments speak the same language so everyone thrives
Celebrating #ASEAN today. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations is perhaps one of the most successful regional organizations to date and a formidable force in today's global business landscape. ASEAN is a master class in making diversity work. in the words of Singaporean scholar Kishore Mahbubani in his book The ASEAN Miracle: "How the extraordinary diversity of Southeast Asia came about. In all the many interpretations of the region’s history, there is one undeniable fact: Southeast Asia has served as the crossroads of the world for over 2,000 years. The remarkable cultural diversity of Southeast Asia is also a result of this. At least four major cultural waves have swept through Southeast Asia: the Indian, Chinese, Muslim and Western waves."
Today, we celebrate the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN. ASEAN is a regional organization comprising ten Southeast Asian countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam), dedicated to promoting political and economic cooperation and regional stability. Since its inception, #ASEAN has been pivotal in fostering regional stability, economic growth, and cultural exchange across Southeast Asia. The US and ASEAN share a robust economic partnership that has resulted in significant trade and investment flows. ASEAN represents one of the fastest-growing economic regions globally, offering vast opportunities for American businesses in various sectors, from technology and manufacturing to services and sustainable development. ASEAN's strategic location and growing middle class make it an attractive destination for businesses looking to expand their global footprint. By strengthening economic ties with ASEAN, the US supports its own economic growth and contributes to regional prosperity and stability. Let's continue to build on this strong foundation, fostering deeper economic cooperation and creating new avenues for mutual growth and success. Happy ASEAN Day! #ASEANDay #EconomicCooperation #BusinessGrowth #RegionalPartnerships #eaSTL #AsiaMeansBusiness

Our journey in Vietnam Just over a year and a half ago, we embarked on a strategic journey by establishing a new outpost in the heart of Southeast Asia. This move was a calculated step towards aligning with the future of global trade. Why did we choose Vietnam? Several factors influenced our decision, the three main factors were: I) Strategic Location: Nestled in the heart of Southeast Asia, Vietnam's strategic location serves as a gateway to major markets. Its proximity to other ASEAN country offers unaparalled access. II) Skilled Workforce: The country's investment in education and skill development has cultivated a dynamic workforce. This human capital is vital for factories to compete on a global landscape. III) Favorable Business Environment: Our decision to set foot in Vietnam was driven by the belief that this nation is on the brink of becoming a major player in the global trade ecosystem. Through our Vietnam office, we've tapped into a rich vein of opportunities, connected with vibrant markets, and embraced the innovative spirit that pervades the country. #Vietnam #GlobalTrade #Innovation #GrowthStory #StrategicExpansion
