Introducing the GREEN project! 🌿 Over the next two years, we’ll enhance green skills in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. By embedding essential green skills into curricula and training teachers, we aim to support a sustainable transition across various industries. In the automotive sector, GREEN will address the industry's specific needs by developing innovative, student-centered curricula and promoting the adoption of sustainable practices. The project aims to change mindsets and prepare the workforce through multidisciplinary green and digital training, supporting the sector's transition to more sustainable and circular economy practices. By establishing a "Green Label" for educational organizations and promoting transnational cooperation, GREEN will facilitate the exchange of best practices and innovative solutions. This initiative is critical for driving the automotive industry towards a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly future. 🚗🌍 Learn more: : https://lnkd.in/eQKmwsDC

At Malta International Airport, sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and we believe real change starts with internal awareness and education. That’s why, since 2022, our Sustainability Team has been organising annual GREENtalks, which are short workshops aimed at raising awareness among employees on crucial environmental topics. This year, we turned our focus to water conservation with a workshop titled Connecting the Drops 💧 🔑 Here are some highlights from this year's session: Ing. Sigmund Galea from the Water Services Corporation - Malta shared valuable insights into Malta's water scarcity challenges and shared tools which can help us track our water consumption. Our internal experts—Abigail from Sustainability, Adrian from Technical Facilities, and Maria from the Met Office—gave employees a closer look at precipitation patterns, the airport’s innovative water management practices, upcoming projects, and actionable ways we can all make a difference. The key takeaway? Every drop counts! Whether at work or home, small actions can lead to significant conservation of this precious resource for our country. We’re proud to see our team engaged, inspired and committed to building a more sustainable future together.🌟
