We're part of the important Ocean Decade data programme of the United Nations, contributing to data-driven decisions for a sustainable ocean economy. Through initiatives like the Ocean Decade programme, we're able to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organisations to drive meaningful change. Its purpose is to deliver new ocean knowledge and information to support all stakeholders involved in the conservation and sustainable use of the ocean.
NEW PUBLICATION: The Ocean Decade Vision 2030 White Paper on Challenge 2 puts forward key recommendations by over 30 scientists to advance the protection and restoration of marine ecosystems in a cohesive, coordinated, and sustainable manner on the global scale. The paper's authors highlighted key measures of success for this Decade Challenge - the timely and widespread availability of scientific information about biological, ecosystem, and other biodiversity change; the human and natural drivers of change; and the local capacity to generate and use this information to advance sustainable development.
