The study compared FRAME-supported autologous internal jugular vein grafts to unsupported vein grafts in a porcine carotid artery interposition model. At a 1-month follow-up, 100% of FRAME-supported grafts were patent, compared to 43% for the controls. FRAME-supported vein grafts also showed significantly fewer areas of stenosis and higher blood flow rates at explantation compared to the controls. ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐œ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง: "In our porcine model, the external mesh FRAME improved the patency of vein-to-carotid artery grafts and protected them from stenosis, particularly in the mid regions.
