📢📢📢 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 🔛 Second High level training day in Venice, working within the framework of DIGITPORTS Project Interreg Italy-Croatia The President of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, Fulvio Lino Di Blasio opened the event also underlining the context in the Adriatic Sea, characterized by North Adriatic Sea Ports Association, and as far as these Ports are jointly concerned, he explained, cooperation is always the mean. In this way, technology and digitalization "represents a crucial field we mean to work together, fostering better fields for our commin Activity". Scardino Antonella, as the Secretary General of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority stressed the importance of standardization of data and the mapping of Ports assets as the basis for geo-standardization of procedures and processes. Brian Keenum explained the definition of Digital Twins technology and its potential applications in the day-to-day operations of the ports. He also gave specific examples on how the technology has been used in other ports and international best practices. Jeremy Mirmelstein "People are the big part of success of a Digital twin application to navigate the cultural change necessary to achieve a full Digital trasformation" Goal in ports is to optimize what they (already) and make ports open and accessible to (ordinary) people. ✅DT make ports open and accessible to (ordinary) people ✅DT monitor and improve port safety ✅DT must operate 24/7 and rely on a shared and agreed platform Cláudio Pinto introduced the Ports of Sines (APS - Administração dos Portos de Sines e do Algarve, S.A.) and its digital strategy, focusing on the Nexus Agenda. Nexus is an important tool for the firm’s stakeholders to share datasets. He then discussed Digital Twins roadmap, its maturity level, and its main pillars. Finally, he concluded by providing a concrete example of how Ports of Sines is currently adopting Digital Twins technology in its everyday operations. Leonida Bucci from Esri Italia stressed the fact that Every single stakeholder of the Port communities is involved in the project. Port Authority needs to have a perspective of DT through the years. Alberto Meroni from Esri spoke about the role of imagery in the Digital Twins journey. He identified the ‘3D barriers’ with respect to reality mapping and suggested potential solutions to overcome these issues. He then provided specific examples on cost-effective imagery technologies and their data collection methods.
