When students are reaching out it's so essential to respond. If we don't they will quickly feel like their voice isn't heard and stop talking.
We've seen this in the data from our platform as well. Students start writing to their teachers, even simple stuff like "hi" or a little emoji. If the teacher doesn't acknowledge the communication (either within the platform or in the real-world) the students quickly stop writing.
Of course, we've also seen those communication channels grow into a safe space for students to reach out to teachers and staff for the help they need.
How do you foster communications with your students?
