It was fascinating to tune into the Adobe MAX event in London yesterday, where they unveiled some exciting tools and features set to roll out soon. Unsurprisingly, there was a focus on how Adobe is integrating more intuitive AI technologies into their products, such as Photoshop and Express, making these tools more accessible to creatives everywhere. One key update is the new Photoshop Beta, which features a ‘Generative Fill with Reference Image’ function. This allows designers to use an existing image as a starting point to generate new, creative elements - it’s a practical tool that can significantly cut down the time it takes from initial concept to final design. The introduction of the Firefly Image 3 Foundation Model is also noteworthy. This new AI model will simplify and enhance image creation, offering creators the ability to produce detailed images more efficiently. It's a step towards making sophisticated design tools more user-friendly and broadly available. As always with AI, these features don't necessarily guarantee improved quality or creativity, but they do serve as crucial time-savers, allowing designers to devote more attention to the work that truly matters to them. These advancements could lead to more dynamic and creative outcomes across all sectors. An interesting watch – do check it out if you get the chance! #AdobeMAX #Design #Creative #Tech

Ok, so AI in Design has really been a bit of a hit and miss affair, filled with weird hallucinations and unpredictable outputs. In fairness however, Adobe and Canva's AI tools already execute functions that couldn't have been dreamed about only a few years back. But seemingly everyday, new features are being launched that make the design process faster and more flexible - I cant wait to try this out and see what comes next. This will be enormously valuable, specifically in responsive design for UI, as well as the adaptation of brand material into various formats. https://lnkd.in/egbidgAb

The wait is almost over... Since its launch in March 2023, Adobe Firefly has rapidly evolved, bringing innovation to imaging, design, and vector creation. These Firefly models have quickly become integral to some of the most popular features across Adobe Creative Cloud and Express, such as Generative Fill in Photoshop, Generative Remove in Lightroom, Generative Shape Fill in Illustrator, and Text-to-Template in Express. The creative community has embraced these features, generating over 12 billion images and vectors. This rapid adoption highlights Firefly’s impact and the significance of generative AI in the world of digital creativity. Recognizing that video is the currency of engagement today, Adobe just offered a sneak peek at the upcoming Firefly Video Model, that it seems will revolutionize professional workflows in industry-leading video tools like Premiere Pro. From groundbreaking AI tools to thoughtful community contributions, Adobe MAX 2024 – Adobe's largest creativity conference – happened this last Monday, and boy - this year's conference was packed! Jumping into AI-powered features gives creators new ways to bring ideas to life faster and easier than ever before. One of my jaw-dropping was the Firefly Video Model (beta), turning text prompts into stunning video clips, creating B-roll footage, and yesss! extend scenes with ease. Tools like Photoshop also got exciting upgrades, including a smart distraction remover for effortlessly erasing photobombers. Illustrator added smoother workflows with its new "Objects on Path" feature, perfect for arranging objects on curves. In these modern times where teams are located in different countries Adobe understands the need to improve multi-collaboration, for example, Frame.io, their cloud-based platform, now supports real-time media uploads teams can work together across tools like Lightroom and Premiere Pro no matter where they are. Here are my top 5 favorite ones - Most of them are still in the Beta phase, so we still have to wait, I will be counting the days. Which one are you more excited to test?

GenAI keeps surprising me! 🤖✨ Adobe just unveiled something incredible at their annual MAX conference—Project Turntable! This new technology allows creators to fully rotate 2D vector drawings in 3D space while maintaining that clean, flat 2D style from any new angle. Imagine taking a vector illustration of a knight and rotating it around to reveal its entirely new perspective, without losing its original 2D essence! 🛡️🐉 This is next-level innovation and a big leap in how AI can support visual creativity. With AI filling in hidden details, like completing a horse's legs as you spin it, the potential for dynamic vector art just exploded! Adobe’s pushing boundaries with this, and it's a game-changer for designers, animators, and all digital artists. 🎨 Fingers crossed we see this in future releases, but for now, it's an exciting glimpse into the future of design! What do you think—will this revolutionize the creative workflow? Bart Koopman MA #AdobeMAX #ProjectTurntable #AI #GenerativeAI #VectorArt #Innovation

Gone are the days of painstakingly keyframing every movement, replaced by the magic of AI understanding our creative intent through simple prompts. I recall the countless nights spent in After Effects, tweaking eases and timing until my eyes blurred. Now, with a few words, we can breathe life into static designs, turning text into dynamic animations that dance across the screen. But here's the kicker - this isn't about replacing creativity; it's about amplifying it. The ability to mix and match styles, to use our own images as reference points, means our unique visions can come to life faster and more vividly than ever before. For seasoned motion designers, this tool is like having a tireless assistant, ready to tackle the grunt work while we focus on pushing creative boundaries. For newcomers, it's an open door to a world that once seemed dauntingly complex. As I reflect on this leap forward, I'm filled with excitement for what's to come. We're not just creating animations; we're crafting experiences, telling stories that move - literally and figuratively. To my fellow creatives: our industry is evolving at lightning speed. But remember, while AI can mimic motion, it can't replicate the human touch that makes our work resonate. Our job now is to harness this technology to tell even more compelling stories. So, are you ready to put your ideas in motion? How do you see this technology shaping the future of visual storytelling? #MotionGraphics #AIinDesign #AdobeMax #CreativeTech #Helveticans

Adobe MAX 2024 went live this week, and there’s nothing quite like being surrounded by thousands of other designers. As the largest conference of its kind, the creative energy is unmatched. Of course, Generative AI stole the show. Here are a few standout features from the keynote: • 🧠 Distraction Removal in Photoshop (live) — an extension to the already powerful Generative Fill. Effortlessly clean up your images with just a click. • 🎬 Object Selection in Premiere Pro (future-beta) — say goodbye to old-fashioned rotoscoping. This new feature dramatically streamlines mask tracking/animation. Both of these are massive time savers that will speed up workflows! One especially exciting reveal was Generative AI Text-to-Video (and image-to-video!) coming to Firefly (live-beta). It’s the only generative AI video model that’s commercially safe because it’s not trained by scraping the internet … another showcase of how Adobe truly thinks about creators. It's all about augmenting the creative process, not replacing it. But the moment that had me saying “wow” out loud? 🚨 Generative Extend (live-beta) in Premiere. Imagine extending a video like magic with no loss in quality. Just incredible. If you missed the keynote, you can watch it here: https://lnkd.in/gJxVGHvH If you just want to check out what I thought the killer feature was, check it out here and let me know if you agree: #adobe #adobemax #adobemax2024 #creative #design #photoshop #permierepro
