New Post: This Is Going to Ruin the Tour: How Has the Justin Timberlake Tour Done So Far? - https://lnkd.in/g5Q3E6Hd - Despite his high-profile arrest for a DUI on June 18 on Long Island, Justin Timberlake didn’t see much impact on the ticket sales for his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which is on track to gross more than $250 million over 87 dates, according to Billboard Boxscore data. The estimated sales figure means each concert has generated about $2.8 million so far, before the tour stopped reported grosses when it crossed over into Europe, where he is playing 27 dates across Poland, Germany, Belgium, the U.K., the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and France. While there’s not much data on how European tickets are selling, there’s no indication that sales have fallen off. In fact, in the months leading up to it, there were plenty of signs that Forget Tomorrow was one of the strongest selling tours of Timberlake’s career. Related Justin Timberlake Pleads Not Guilty in Sag Harbor DWI Case 08/02/2024 In the immediate aftermath of Timberlake’s arrest — which produced the singer’s reported response, “This is going to ruin the tour,” which became a viral meme — prices on secondary sites for some of his shows did drop, in some cases to as low as $20 per ticket. But those drops were likely publicity stunts by resellers trying to drive traffic to their websites. Prices on the secondary market have since recovered: His Sept. 4 concert in Hamburg, Germany is selling for slightly over face value, with some floor tickets selling for 250 euros ($277), about 25% higher than face value for those seats. Prices get even higher on the secondary market in the U.S. when the tour returns in October, starting Oct. 6 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. While there are a handful of tickets listed below $75, the majority are marked up significantly, with lower bowl tickets selling for double the face value at more than $250 each and floor seats moving for over $400. Even as the tour moves into softer markets like Orlando, Fla., and Milwaukee, prices on secondary resellers are holding strong and going for three to four times face value. By the time the Forget Tomorrow World Tour ends on Dec. 20 in St. Louis, it will very likely rank as one of the top 10 tours of the year and be remembered as one of Timberlake’s most profitable runs. - #news #business #world #jobs #school #passion

Are you doing #Kenough? Ryan Gosling's live performance of "I'm Just Ken" at the Oscars lends some great inspiration for buzzworthy resident events. The editor-in-chief of Multi-Housing News, Jessica Fiur, shares the following: "Having fun and doing events that are a little wacky, or having social media campaigns that are a little flashy are going to be what your residents remember, what they’ll share on social media and what they’ll tell their friends, who might be convinced to take a look at your apartments themselves, all of which can encourage lease renewals and new renters." So from costume karaoke to murder mystery games, what kinds of resident event ideas do you have up your sleeve? #residentevents #apartmentliving #apartmentmarketing

Credit where credit is due! Last night my wife and I went to see “You me at Six” in concert at Portsmouth Guildhall, Portsmouth Guildhall Renaissance Founder's Club. The reason for my post is that the in house Security team were the epitome of how professional frontline officers should be. After the support act, I was asked by a very friendly officer if I would mind moving up a few seats so that a less abled lady could sit on the end seat where there was no arm rest which helped her mobility and comfort. The Officer’s request was made through empathy and a genuine desire for her to enjoy the show. How could I say no! He then lent over and offered to buy me a pint of beer as a Thankyou. Unnecessary, said I, I’m driving. Off he goes only to return with a bag of Maltesers and wine gums instead. That was a very kind gesture and won me over as well as all those around me…. Who benefitted from those sweets. Throughout the night I watched the supervisors coordinate security staff from the balconies and the stage officers carefully lift crowd surfers out of the mosh pit! All delivered with a sense of fun but ultimately safety. I was very impressed! It encourages me to allow my own teenage boys to attend concerts at the Guildhall because I know there are no bullies in the security team and that their safety will be assured. Thanks to all involved!

I've literally put up about 50,000, probably 100,000 posters or flyers through the years. For a long time, it was the number one way we got students at Pan Theater. We let people know about our performing troupes and shows, posting anywhere from San Jose up to Sonoma and Napa. To be honest, I just find making posters, looking at posters, and going in all the coffee shops to be a lot of fun. That's how we started really growing as a theater—through posters and flyers. If you have an improv class, improv theater, acting classes, writing classes, or anything like that, everyone talks about digital marketing like Facebook and Google ads, but posters and flyers work too. If you have the time to distribute them yourself or use a flyer service like Thumbtack Bugle, they can help get the word out. Over time, it compounds, people start to remember you, and your presence grows. As you're building up your classes, shows, and everything else, definitely consider flyers and posters. They've done wonders for Pan Theater. Even these days, as we move more and more towards digital, we're still doing a good portion of our marketing with flyers and posters. Checkout the Thumbtack Bugle if you want to reach the San Francisco Bay Area market with posters and flyers. #TheaterMarketing #TraditionalMarketing #SanFrancisco #BayArea #Theater #Improv #Advertising #Flyers #Posters #PanTheater #SFTheater #CommunityTheater #MarketingStrategy #DigitalMarketing
