For too long, the fashion industry has been damaging our planet and exploiting people. It’s time to start holding brands and retailers accountable. We are thrilled to officially endorse the New York Fashion Act, a groundbreaking piece of legislation that will shift the industry towards a better future by requiring mandatory environmental and social disclosure. Greenwashing definition continues to be a complex topic to understand for many consumers, who despite wanting to consume responsibly and sustainably sourced, brands misleading information makes it more complicated. This is where organizations like Fashion Takes Action play a very important role in taking action against misleading fashion brands and informing consumers how to practice responsible consumption.

Just like the culture of fast fashion was created I believe we can create a culture of circular fashion. Lately I have a sense that there is so much guilt behind fashion ( and rightly so). But in order for circular fashion to become the new culture we gotta find ways to link positive energy to it. Make it fun and energizing 🌟. I had a blast at Equals clothing swap event 💛. We need more events like this! #circulareconomy #circularfashion #circularsolutions

Well done to the French National Assembly 👏 Here's some fun (quite sickening!) facts on (the) fast(est) fashion: Shein drops around 10,000 new items on its website daily. It produces a few hundred of these styles and makes more IF people start to buy them. (So at a bare minimum this is 1 million pieces of clothing PER DAY.) At any one time, they have around 500,000 styles on their website. Calculate this into a year and you are looking at 356, 000, 000 pieces of clothing (at a minimum) from one brand each year in the world. The quality might ensure a couple of wears (if any! You've seen the hauls, right?), then it's binned. Here's a little more ... the manufacturer's rapid use of virgin polyesters and huge consumption of oil churns out the same amount of C02 as around 180 coal-fired power plants. Feel ill about this yet?
