Last week, Michel Risser, PhD and Sergiu LIONTE, PhD from Magnoric attended the 'Dresden Days on Magnetocalorics' held at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR).🎯 🔗 ❄ This is a major research center with state-of-the-art facilities. A team specializing in magnetic cooling is also part of the center. Our scientists have been working with HZDR experts for over 10 years. Our involvement in this conference is essential, enabling Magnoric to maintain its knowledge and design machines that incorporate the latest scientific knowledge. Indeed, we are always striving to surpass ourselves, to optimize our technology, and to be the benchmark for magnetocaloric refrigeration. Today a GREC LabModel v3 breakthrough was achieved by a candidate group, Erik Widström, Simon Eriksson and Richard Zetterman, at Linköping University. They are now able to revolve the motorised WGV for experiments in speeds up to 3Hz with logging of pressure! One step closer to proof of concept! The 2024 #HIPERSymposium was held from the 10th to 12th June in at the majestic Kloster Drubeck in Germany. The conference focuses on all aspects of research and cutting-edge technologies that promise to drive the future of the shipping industry.   Future fuels, emission control, wind and hybrid propulsion, hull and propeller optimisation, digital twins, hull cleaning and smart operations, the three-day program was packed with promising and thought-provoking presentations from a healthy international mix of delegates representing owners, suppliers, consultants and academia.   Ken Goh from #KNUDEHANSEN presented a concept study for a fuel cell powered bulk carrier to show the many advantages such a vessel will bring. Although it will take many years for fuel cell technology to scale for mass utilization, there production and cost is trending at the same rate as solar panels and batteries had in the past two decades. The study demonstrates KNUD E. With the "FUBIC All Electricity Realisation" project, we are actively advancing the all-electric society. For this, we have now been awarded 1st place in the category "Innovation" of the ODH-Quartier Award. Congratulations to all partners: WISTA Management GmbH, RWTH Aachen University, BTB GmbH Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin.   We are incredibly proud to be part of this forward-looking research project. FUBIC has what it takes to serve as a blueprint for other districts throughout Germany in the future. And we love turning research into innovation.   With FUBIC, we are combining various technologies to create an all-electric infrastructure in order to implement the concept of an electricity-only supply that is unique in Germany. The energy supply of the FUBIC district will be transformed from the current fossil-based supply to a 100% renewable supply, thereby contributing to climate protection.   Our roots are in research.
