Don’t work hard - work smart, then work hard.

I recently visited one of the MDF mills in Quesnel, BC and I was really impressed with the level of continuous safety management that was going on. Even observing on the tour, how the Safety officer was constantly observing us and our movements for safety hazards, putting themselves in a position that they could react, should a specific visitor who wants a closer look, may make a wrong move and step where they should not - like a mother-duck overseeing her young. It really felt clear that the people working there were very well trained and committed to safety being their highest priority.

Congratulations to the entire West Fraser team on receiving the 2023 Safest Company Award from the APA. Well-deserved recognition for your hard work and dedication to your team members' health and safety.
