We are thrilled to share the video highlights from our dynamic Tech Sales Leadership event, co-hosted with LinkedIn a few weeks ago! The energy and enthusiasm from that day were truly inspiring.
The event was a powerhouse of passion, with many incredible women eager to learn how to navigate their careers and advance equity in the workplace. We had meaningful discussions on increasing women's representation in leadership roles and driving diversity in the tech industry and the importance of allyship.
A key topic was the impact of AI in the workplace. We explored its benefits and highlighted the importance of human skills. The optimism around AI was evident, highlighting its potential to enhance our behaviors and ensure that soft skills are more appreciated in the future of work.
A heartfelt thank you to all our panellists for their insightful contributions:
▪ Sue Duke, Vice President of Global Public Policy and Economic Graph, and Country Manager Ireland, LinkedIn
▪ Janine Chamberlin, Country Manager UK, Global VP of Talent Solutions, LinkedIn
▪ Josh Graff, Managing Director EMEA and LATAM, Global Vice President, LinkedIn
▪ Prof. Philippa Snare, Non-Executive Chair, Board Member and Advisor
▪ Suzanne Steele, Vice President and Managing Director, UKI and MEA, Adobe
Special thanks to our CEO and Founder, Angie Vaux, for her excellent moderation. 👏
Let's continue these important conversations and work collectively to drive diversity in the tech industry.

Today was a great, very energizing event. It was wonderful to see so much passion in the room from all of these women who are trying to learn from others about how to navigate their careers. But also I have some really strong opinions about some punchy topics. I loved it. My main take away is just how fired up the leaders in our sector are about advancing equity in the workplace. A ton of passion and ideas and impatience, I would say, about what we need to do to get more women in leadership. In this sector, the role that we as individuals have to play and the role that the sector collectively has to play as well. Linkedin's vision is to create economic opportunity for everyone in the global workforce and while there is still under representation of women and diverse groups in the tech industry, the only way that we can fulfill our vision is to help Dr. Diversity in the tech industry. My key observation from today was the optimism around AI and the fact that it's going to augment and amplify a lot of our existing behaviours and has the potential also to ensure that people's soft skills are. Perhaps more greatly considered than they have been in the past, because that's where the real differentiator is going to be. Everyone who is not using AI just yet, it's probably at risk of falling behind in the future. Because ultimately, AI is going to help us find more productivity in our day-to-day, remove some of the tasks that are repetitive, that are kind of not where we want to be spending our time, and it's going to allow us to free up the time to invest in where we add the most value to our jobs. The human skills will. Really become very important as result of this. What we heard very clearly from everyone in the room is the importance of just getting together, having these conversations, the opportunity to network. And I think one of the biggest things that comes out of events like this is a commitment to not just acting as individuals, but acting collectively as well. And I think we're going to see that very clearly out of today's event.

Shed some light and clarity #Women's Day 🌈 The stats DON'T always tell the FULL Story. Sometimes the Devil is in the Details...or the Prada 😉👠👠🥂
To be frank, reading the yearly studies and their stats on the progress of C-Suite/VP Level Women's leadership in High Tech can be depressing.
Especially as a Global Executive Leadership coach, I can count on one hand the C-Suite women I've coached in my 22 years. And very rarely do I see key power positions like CTO/CIO, CRO, COO, or CEO being held by women.
😖 We always see low numbers. And I yearly hear the recruiting wail "There are no R&D/technical women out there for VP/Exec positions".
BUILDING YOUR PERSONAL/LEADERSHIP BRAND is critical, not only for your benefit but so that other people can see what is out there and can be done!
Did you know that since 2018 ChatGPT's CTO is Mira Murati?
(Follow me next week for my key #personalbranding building tips!)
Hence my shock and delight 💖 when I saw the MAJOR companies listed with CTO/CIO and even CEO in the Top 100 women in tech list below: 😍💃🏻🏆

As a Women in Tech for over 20 years and a mother of 2 girls, I know the importance of leading by example and paying it forward. One of the greatest joys in life is serving and empowering others. Growing up in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, I was fortunate to have role models in my family and also here in The Netherlands, where I built my career, who taught me valuable lessons on grit, resilience, and empathy.
Did your journey in the tech industry inspire others? A few days ago, during a family vacation in California, I had the privilege of attending the Women Impact Tech Conference in San Francisco 🎉 ! It was an incredible experience connecting with many talented women in tech, sharing our journeys of breaking into this competitive industry, and gaining insights from inspiring female leaders.
I'd like to extend a special thank you to some of the presenters who inspired me:
🔹 Nathalie Criou - Your emphasis on the importance of strategic product management and pivoting towards products that meet evolving customer needs, backed by data-driven decision-making resonated deeply.
🔹 SreeVidya Madhuvarsu & Priya Chakrabarti - Your practical examples of leveraging generative AI and data to enhance product delivery were invaluable. Your advocacy for adaptive leadership and team empowerment stuck with me because every team is only as strong as it's weakest link.
🔹 Alvina Antar - Your infectious energy and heartfelt advocacy for setting boundaries and uplifting fellow women in tech were truly inspiring.
🔹 Raleen Gagnon - Thank you for your empowering session on self-advocacy and strategies for effective negotiation. Your insights on overcoming self-doubt are great reminders for personal and professional growth.
🔹 Ashleigh Rogers, Harshita Lall, Sarah Parker and Ramyata Mehrotra - Your panel discussion on making conscious choices about how to use tech for the greater good and holding ourselves accountable to ship products that have a positive impact on human emotions, the environment and cyber security was an excellent reminder.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to be invited to this event. I left with a wealth of knowledge that I will apply to my work and I'm excited to stay connected with the wonderful people I met!

Today's Women's Day feature is Lina Smith, Director of Customer Success and Support at MediaValet. Enjoy the read!
Why tech?
I have always been drawn to technology and how it can be used to make our lives easier. However, I know that's not the view shared by everyone, so I've made it my personal mission to showcase the human aspect of technology.
Why Customer Success?
Customer Success is the bridge between tech and people. We bring the human element of tech to the foreground and make it accessible. In my opinion, it's the most fun and rewarding place to be in tech!
What was a key experience that shaped your career?
There was a point where I asked myself if this was what I wanted to do for a career, then pivoted into a role that removed me from customer interactions. I realized quickly where my heart belongs, and that's with my customers. Helping them grow energizes me.
Talk to me about the challenges of being a woman in leadership:
Women are often doubted by society when pursuing leadership positions. Imposter syndrome is quite common in women leadership, including me. I really had to keep convincing myself that I belong here. Makes me wonder, how much do we lose because we're overlooked?
What are your views on DEI?
We need to create an environment that provides equal opportunities for everyone to strive.
Advice for young women?
Take the chances, there's no such thing as failure, only lessons learned.
What does power mean to you?
The ability to influence and inspire others to drive change.

Land a Fulfilling Role That Maximizes Your Income and Impact 🚀 | Career Coach for Women In Tech 👩🏽💻 | Keynote Speaker 🎤 | Helping women confidently secure promotions and transition careers
How to confidently navigate your career progression (even in uncertainty):
For too long, I've seen brilliant women in tech, just like you, grappling with the uncertainty of how to break through to Sr. or management roles.
It struck a chord with me because I've experienced that same sense of feeling stuck and unable to move forward in my career.
You know the feeling...
→ Knowing you have so much more to give than the work you're doing
→ Feeling under-valued, unsupported, and unfulfilled.
→ Lacking clarity on what's expected of you to get to that next level.
I quickly learned that I had to take more control, stepping into the driver's seat to get to where I wanted in my career vs waiting for others to take me there.
Tomorrow, I'm sharing a special announcement that will give you the answer you've been hoping for to confidently step into the next level of your career.
I've been behind the scenes creating something life changing for women in tech.
It's time to finally ditch that stuck feeling - maximize your impact, increase your income, and feel proud of the work you do each day.
