This is your last chance… To join the WLA Community! This is THE place for women leaders in male dominated industries who are striving to access proven methods to get & own their seat at the table, without sacrificing their personal priorities, while networking with other powerhouse women leaders. Excitement is building about this community & I’m incredibly grateful for your support & interest! So, I’ve compiled your feedback into a clear FAQ guide to answer your burning questions – DM me if you’d like access to it. 😊 But let me be crystal clear that this is NOT a program, it’s an annual membership-based community aka is way less of a time & 💰commitment. And I want this to be the BEST community for women in leadership! So that means that the finishing touches will be based on what YOU specifically want & need for long term success. This is why there are only a few spots left to be a founding member at (50% off) that you’ll be locked into moving forward. I cannot wait to get started with you —that’s the main reason for closing the doors tonight at midnight EST. I want to switch gears & solely focus on finishing building this for YOU and celebrating your results! So, if you’re ready to secure your spot before they’re gone, click the link in the comments to join! Or if you know someone who this could benefit, share this post with them. 🤗

Fantastic first day at the Global Leadership Summit 2024. Here's a key takeaway I had from every speaker: Craig Groeschel - A good leader makes you think that they are important. A great leader lets you know that you are important. Kindra Hall - When things are going wrong in your story, just remember: this is the middle of a story. Then get curious about how this story is going to end. Dan Owolabi - When you look at someone, recognize their "acorns" and choose to see them as "oak trees." Moriah - Failure is just 1 of 3 phases of sustainable artistry: move, fail, recover. Coach K - It is on you as a leader to get your message across, so be willing to adapt to your changing audience. Jo Saxton - How has anxiety limited your purpose and impact? Molly Fletcher - Does this relationship/task/situation deserve all this energy? What’s the risk if you change something there - and what’s the risk if you don’t? Erwin Raphael McManus - There’s a level of human communication that transcends words, allowing us to connect on frequencies that God always intended for human beings to communicate on. https://lnkd.in/gdsxm3A5

This piece is not brand new AND it needs to be seen, read or re-read. By everyone in an organization with its first BIPOC leader, searching for a new leader and interviewing a diverse candidate pool. The common narrative: what do BIPOC leaders need that they don't have to be successful. This piece asks us to consider something quite different. What assets / superpowers do BIPOC leaders and members of other marginalized communities bring the make them stronger leaders that can drive innovation, that can model resilience. When you ask board members why they feel a BIPOC leader is important they often say it's because "these leaders reflect the communities we serve." It's so much more than that. It made me reflect on my own sexual orientation and that I believe it is a superpower for me that adds authenticity, empathy and resilience to my leadership. That is one of the many terrific points made in this piece Take a few minutes, read and share. #bipocleadership, #dei, #nonprofitleadership #nonprofits #governance, #talent

I have been to many over the years and always have a bunch of take always and unlike other conferences, the ideas get implemented making us a stronger company, better leaders and a closer work family. We are having several from our team going to watch it offsite as a group. This is a time for reflection, fellowship, collaboration and learning how to be better leaders. It's not to late to get in on the action. https://lnkd.in/gY_gH8qM

Our women in agency leadership catch-ups are growing, and it's so great to see the commitment in coming together in an open forum to share, support, and spur each other on. Today we discussed topics related to agency growth and personal development: Strategies for generating new business The journey to B Corp accreditation Finding and refining our niches Setting healthy professional boundaries The power of mutual support amongst colleagues A quote from today's meeting that really resonated: "I've got something I'd like to ask. I think I know what I need to do but I'm hoping you can empathise." It’s moments like these that highlight the importance of community. It's important for us at Agencynomics to maintain a space where it's not only okay to talk about the tough stuff—where things might be going awry, where the struggles lie, and where a help needed—but also where vulnerability is seen as a brave step forward. At Points of Light we believe youth volunteer engagement strengthens our communities. On #InternationalYouthDay, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering young voices in the volunteer sector. That’s why we're engaging young adults to integrate their perspectives into our next strategic plan. These insights will shape our future and ensure our initiatives advance the next generation of changemakers. By involving youth in decision-making, we're not just preparing them for leadership—we’re recognizing that they are leaders today. How is your organization harnessing the power of youth voices?

This was a brilliant webinar organised by Steph H! Well worth a watch for any existing or future leaders. This webinar was super important for a number of reasons... But perhaps most importantly because you can't be what you cant see. Providing fantastic queer role models for gen-Z looking to get into the workplace can (and will) help them to thrive and smash the misconception that young queers can't lead in business. #Lgbt #leadership
Yesterday we had the pleasure of hearing from Aisha Shaibu-Lenoir from Moonlight Experiences, UK Black Pride, The Common Press, and GiveOut, about her fantastic journey into leadership & management! Aisha spoke about her personal journey as a queer leader, as well as what you need to become a good leader. We also had some brilliant audience questions. This webinar was made possible by The National Lottery Community Fund. ✨ Don't worry if you missed the webinar because you can catch up on this one, and any of our other sessions such as CV and Interview skills with Daryl Doyle Assoc.CIPD 🏳️🌈, on our Youtube channel: https://lnkd.in/e3Z-c57Q ✨

💡 I just published a new essay on Substack about the role of leadership development in building restorative communities. My Leadership for Social Change class, taught by Karen Proctor, has inspired me in many ways. The theory and practice of #AdaptiveLeadership is an approach to the ways communities organize and build capacity for change. By integrating the frameworks of leadership development and restorative practices, we may forge sustainability in systems change efforts, and resilience on the personal and community level. 🔔 Let me know what ya think! ❤️ Friends of this essay: New York Peace Institute, Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Alisa Del Tufo, SVA - MFA Design for Social Innovation https://lnkd.in/euzFtxZN
