Today is #NationalPotHoleDay. ⛔ Compared to 5-years earlier, 2023 saw a 25% increase in the number of pothole-related claims to local authorities and 138% more than 2016. ⛔ The average cost of pothole damage increased by 29% in 2023 compared with 2022. ⛔January, February and March are the worst time of year for pothole claims. Moving from proactive to reactive maintenance can reduce the prevalence of pothole incidents on the roads.
