Finalmente è uscito anche in italiano l'ultimo libro di Don Norman edito dalla GIUNTI EDITORE S.P.A. con una bella prefazione di Patrizia Marti .

Don è l'incarnazione del talento ibrido, transdisciplinare. Ingegnere e psicologo attraversa nella sua carriera campi diversi. Contribuisce alla rivoluzione delle scienze cognitive e in modo indelebile alla evoluzione del design degli ultimi quarant'anni.

In questo suo ultimo libro ci accompagna nella evoluzione del concetto di Human Centered Design in Humanity Centered Design includendo una visione più ecologica, etica e sistemica profonda. Un pensiero della complessità pratica che a volte è proprio quello che manca all'originario pensiero complesso sorto nell'Europa continentale grazie ad altri grandi maestri come Edgar Morin .

Avrò modo di tornare su questo prezioso testo di Don perché tocca in modo pragmatico e profondo temi strategici per lo sviluppo della nostra società. La necessità di percorsi di formazione e la valorizzazione di talenti transdisciplinari, ibridi. La visione sistemica, complessa. Il fattore umano che mette al centro di tutta la rivoluzione gli ostacoli posti dalle nostre difficoltà metacognitive di essere consapevoli delle bias di cui siamo portatori.

Concludo che per me è stato un onore essere citato insieme a Sigurdur Thorsteinsson nel libro di Don riguardo al nostro concetto di designer come direttore d'orchestra che stiamo sviluppando con gli amici di MITdesignX .

Buona lettura a tutti quelli che voglio affinare la capacità di progettare il futuro in un mondo di problemi super complessi.

Don Norman 's latest book published by GIUNTI EDITORE S.P.A. with a beautiful preface by Patrizia Marti is finally out in Italian.

Don is the embodiment of hybrid, transdisciplinary talent. Engineer and psychologist he crosses different fields in his career. He contributes to the cognitive science revolution and indelibly to the evolution of design in the last forty years.

In this his latest book he takes us through the evolution of the concept of Human Centered Design into Humanity Centered Design by including a more ecological, ethical and deep systemic vision. A practical complexity thinking that is sometimes just what is missing from the original complex thinking that arose in continental Europe thanks to other great masters such as Edgar Morin.

I will have a chance to return to this valuable text by Don because it touches pragmatically and profoundly on strategic issues for the development of our society. The need for educational pathways and the enhancement of transdisciplinary, hybrid talents. The systemic, complex vision. The human factor that puts at the center of the whole revolution the obstacles posed by our metacognitive difficulties of being aware of the biases we carry.

I conclude that it was an honor for me to be quoted with Sigurdur Thorsteinsson in Don's book about our concept of designer as orcherstra director that we are developing with our friends at MITdesignX.
