Growing means moving out of your comfort zone

Arbe is a startup that is growing rapidly. Many of our employees find that their position and realm of responsibility evolve quickly, which translates into a fast-paced opportunity curve. I was curious to learn more about this. I spoke with Niv Best from our system team to hear how this is affecting him and his colleagues.  

Why did you choose to join Arbe?

“After 15 years working in electronic warfare corporates, it was time to move out of my comfort zone. I needed a change and was looking for something exciting. Arbe is the only company I’ve seen offering a highly advanced high-resolution radar, that is small and affordable. It's the kind of engineering challenge I was looking for, and an opportunity to reinvent myself professionally."

What do you like most about your current role at Arbe?

"I love that every day is different. When I started out the work was similar to things I had done previously. But over the course of the year my responsibilities have grown and are now pretty varied in scope. One day I’m in the lab doing measurements. Another day I’m crunching numbers to figure out what parameters we can improve. The next day I’m working with clients and suppliers. I love the variety.”

How has the company’s growth affected employees’ day-to-day?

“During the last year, Arbe has almost doubled in size. Teams have grown from two people to ten. We’re making really good hires and harnessing amazing talent. As a result, roles within the company are evolving rapidly. Things that were once managed by a single person are now distributed more evenly. It’s offering us tremendous professional growth opportunities.” 

How would you describe your team at Arbe? 

“Our team is ‘goal oriented’, but with a healthy dose of fun.”
