Meet the Citi Team - Barakat Subair, Information Security Analyst

Tell us a little bit about your career history so far!

I’ve been with Citi from the start of my professional career. I started as a Graduate Technology Analyst where I worked in three amazing teams in cybersecurity over a two-year time period. Upon completion of this program, I applied for a position related to Risk & Control to fuel my curiosity on how the organizations manages and assesses risk.

What is your role at Citi?

I’m currently working as an Information Security Analyst within the Global Identity and Access Management team.

What have you enjoyed most about your time with Citi?

I have never felt limited to any role or career path. I have the freedom to choose my future and what my next challenge will be. It never gets boring because I am always learning new things. 

Also, I enjoy spending time with my colleagues during work and the various team building activities.

What advice would you give someone considering a career at Citi?

I would say go for it! Your efforts are rewarded, your input is valued within the team and there is a lot of opportunity for career growth and development.
