Attention, Milwaukee.

And still going strong! Thanks also to the Training Team that spent numerous hours preparing for this class of 38 Telecommunicators, and to the OJT trainers who are putting the finishing touches on training before they start working independently.
I was chosen to be apart of training a new class of 911 call takers. Today was their last day of classroom. These peers of mine are going to rock it on the floor! I'm proud of each and everyone of them, we (training team) were not easy on them.

DEC spent a day this week speaking with leadership at Motorola Solutions to learn more about their extensive portfolio and to discuss potential future partnerships. Thanks Mary Ehrsam and Chad Gappa for arranging this very informative visit!

2024 was a big year for Milwaukee! Our end-of-year video highlights how every City department helped move Milwaukee forward—from renewable energy to more accessible streets. Check it out and see what we’ve accomplished together! This video was made by me!

Well done Tammy crespo, and everyone who played a role in training our future ECC leaders!

This morning, we celebrated the 150th Anniversary of the Milwaukee Fire Department providing exceptional purpose-driven service to the City of Milwaukee! We were proud to have Mayor Cavalier Johnson and Alderman Peter Burgelis join the commemoration at our oldest firehouse, Station #1 (as old as the MFD!). We'll be celebrating all year throughout the City. We'll involve every Fire Station and every neighborhood - watch our Facebook page and other social media postings and press releases for additional information. My deepest gratitude to the thousands who have served (and those actively serving today) in our ranks and to the over 140 members of all ranks who lost their lives in the line of duty protecting our fair city.

The men and women of the DEC embraced the spirit of the season through a toy drive and by assembling care packages for moms and children in a local shelter. This past Sunday, the DEC and MPD’s Sensitive Crimes Unit provided a holiday feast for the residents. We also had a SPECIAL VISITOR drop in for the occasion! So many toys were donated that other community organizations will also benefit during this season of giving! Way to go DEC!
