Exciting Progress Alert! As part of the USAID Investments in Developing Energy Assets (IDEA) project, the Black & Veatch team is advancing the design phase for the 400 kV Straseni-Gutinas high-voltage #transmission line (T-line). 🤝 Last week, our technical team, alongside representatives from SE Moldelectrica, Transelectrica, and USAID, conducted a thorough inspection of the proposed route in both Moldova and Romania. Key Focus Areas: 🌳 Environmental Impact: Crossing protected forests, rivers, lakes, and assessing ecosystem impacts. 🏛️ Cultural Heritage: Evaluating effects on heritage buildings, monuments, and archaeological sites. ⚙️ Technical Aspects: Considering length, coexistence with roads, railways, power, and telecom lines. 🌾 Socio-Economic Factors: Ensuring access to agricultural land, understanding land ownership, and engaging with local communities. 🎯 Objective: Finalize the detailed route and evaluate project costs.
