In our mission to Unleash Nature Sustainably, one of our main goals is to develop new, derived natural solutions that can replace synthetic ingredients. However, a one on one replacement for synthetic ingredients with a derived natural alternative is almost impossible. Unless... we manage to identify combinations of derived natural polymers that can match the profile of synthetic ones. And that's exactly what we did. Through the help of AI, Cargill scientists analyzed an incredible amount of data, aiming at identifying a successful combination of derived natural polymers with the same properties as a synthetic one. The first result of that research is Actigum™ Care, a new derived natural rheology modifier based on a combination of starch and sclerotium gum, that not only matches, but surpasses the performance of its synthetic counterparts.
