At this year’s International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Delaware Valley Chapter (DVC) Annual Symposium & Exhibition, Ryan Andrulewich, AIA, joined project team members from several different firms to discuss the successful execution and lessons learned from the expansion of a cell therapy facility designed for innovative treatment for an aggressive cancer. Colliers Engineering & Design was hired to design the quality control labs and testing support spaces surrounding the manufacturing suite. Congratulations to Newton-Wellesley Hospital on the recent completion of the Fifth Floor, East Wing Project! Colliers Project Leaders | USA collaborated with Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Keel Project Management, Perkins&Will, BR+A Consulting Engineers, and Wise Construction to transform a 20,000 SF space into a state-of-the-art Medical Surgical Unit featuring 24 new patient beds. This project improves the overall patient experience by offering enhanced facilities and streamlined care, which is a significant benefit to the community. Through strategic planning, lean construction practices, and regular onsite reviews with project designers, the project team overcame challenges and reduced the construction schedule by over 25%. Sarah will embark on a three-year journey as part of the Board of Directors, starting as Treasurer and eventually becoming ASHRAE President for a year. In addition to this incredible opportunity, Sarah was honored with the Exceptional Service Award for her many years of volunteer work. Congratulations, Sarah! We're excited to announce that the City of Easthampton’s Mountain View School has achieved LEED Gold Certification for its outstanding energy efficiency and sustainability efforts! This recognition places Mountain View at the forefront of environmentally responsible school facilities. Last week, our project management team, along with representatives from the City of Haverhill and Haverhill Public Schools, visited the Consentino Middle School construction site. The new $160 Million middle school, designed to accommodate 1,080 students, is set to be completed in 2026. The demolition of the existing 1969 building is scheduled for 2027. Bristol City Hall was recently honored with the Connecticut Building Congress’ Award of Merit (Large Civic) at the 2024 CBC Project Team Awards! This award recognizes outstanding building projects that showcase excellence in teamwork among project owners, architects, engineers, constructors, and trades.
