In the third report from Ofsted's Best Start in Life research series, it’s emphasised that “early literacy development gives children lifelong benefits.” The report highlights how stories, rhymes, and songs play a crucial role in enhancing children’s language and vocabulary, as well as their emotional understanding. We had a brilliant day yesterday filming at Goddard Park Daycare Centre in Swindon and hearing all about the positive impact of the Early Years Professional Development Programme. It was fantastic to see so many examples of learning brought to life and to watch how engaged the children were in all the activities.
