🌍 Today, we gathered for the highly anticipated Global Aerospace Cluster Partnership Forum graciously hosted by the Embassy of Ireland, Great Britain. ✈️   It was an absolute pleasure to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones as we came together to drive collaboration and innovation in the aerospace industry.   Dr Patrick Rochford warmly welcomed us all on behalf of the Embassy of Ireland, London. Sean Long from Enterprise Ireland gave an inspiring welcome address, showcasing Ireland's remarkable contributions and aspirations in the aerospace sector.   We were captivated by Yuri Fattah of ICAO who delivered a thought-provoking keynote on the future of the aerospace industry. His words on the importance of true partnership and trust resonated deeply: “We need to have a story about what the future of aviation is.”   A significant highlight was the formal signing of the Letter of Intent (LoI) and the introduction of new members, Chihuahua's Aerospace Cluster and CAMASA South Africa. This moment truly underscored the power and importance of our global partnerships.   Jarrod Morley, PMP from Aéro Montréal shared invaluable insights on developing eco-responsible initiatives within a cluster. His presentation left us all inspired to adopt more sustainable approaches in our practices.   We also presented the GACP Survey and hosted a workshop on activities, which encouraged active participation and feedback from everyone. The parallel workshop sessions provided a fantastic platform for in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing, fostering a collective understanding and a collaborative spirit.   Thank you to everyone who joined us today, especially after an eventful and successful Farnborough International Air Show. The curtain falls on the 9th edition of the International Aerospace Innovation Forum by Aéro Montréal! This edition was particularly impressive with its announcements and emotions! ✈ #EspaceAero #ZoneInnovation I had the great pleasure of hosting two very interesting sessions on Next Generation MRO and International Collaborations Wings of Unity! I would like to warmly thank all the moderators, speakers, panelists, exhibitors, and partners who made these rich and high-quality discussions possible! The forum would not be the same without your major contributions. Kudos to the entire Aéro Montréal team who worked tirelessly for several months to deliver this great gathering and these exciting announcements! On the international front, we supported the organization of more than 10 international missions on 4 continents, allowing more than 135 Quebec companies to seize new opportunities abroad. We had the chance to bring companies to fast-growing markets like South Korea, Singapore, Mexico, and Morocco, and we are very proud of our companies' successes in these export markets !! The aerospace sector is an unparalleled force in Quebec's economy, and our ecosystem is driven by an incredible dynamic of collaboration! In 2023, the industry's growth was exceptional, increasing from $18 billion to nearly $21 billion, a 16% increase in one year. Additionally, the number of jobs rose from 37,000 to 41,700, adding nearly 5,000 well-paid local jobs.
