As well as expanding our high street presence in August, we also opened in more locations where customers can access by car, including drive-thrus and on retail parks: -Bristol, Harlequin Business Park Drive-thru; -Leeds, Saint George's Retail Park; -Northern Ireland, Bangor, Toscana Retail Park. These locations play an important role in our estate development plans and by being able to open units which are larger than some of our traditional shops, they play a pivotal role in our multi-channel operation, which incorporates digital channels, delivery services, as well as in-store purchases. Extended trading hours at these locations are also part of the our strategic growth plan.

Last year, a fifth of all our unsold was sent to a Greggs Outlet shop — which is just one of our channels to give surplus food a second chance. In August, we opened another of these shops at Salford, Radclyffe Park. This Outlet offers Greggs products the next day at a fraction of the original price, supporting our long-term ambition to redistribute all unsold products. That isn't all these shops contribute - in 2023, the total donated by the Greggs Outlets to support community organisations was almost £650,000. Our aim is to have 50 of these Outlets by the end of 2025 and as a team, we are extremely proud of this new shop.

We already have a strong presence in traditional towns and suburban locations and we are continuing to focus on increasing our presence where people travel, work, or access by car. However, there are still towns where we can bring Greggs to new communities. In the second half of August, we opened three shops in more traditional locations, including our first shop in Stranraer on Bellevilla Road, which has got off to a great start. Other August openings in suburban locations include Wealdstone, High St and Moseley, Alcester Road.

Quality is key to the Greggs estate, as we focus on identifying locations where we can have bigger and better shops through relocation. In 2024, we aim to relocate around 50 of our existing shops to larger nearby premises so we can better serve the communities we're already in. These moves not only help us grow our Click & Collect and delivery channels, they allow us to increase our coffee shop seating and ensure we continue to offer our walk-in customers the best possible experience. So far in August, we have relocated four of our shops and we have plenty more planned. • Cosham, High Street • Bloxwich, High Street • Merry Hill Shopping Centre • Northampton, Brackmills Trade Park

At Greggs, our goal is to be accessible; serving our customers whenever, wherever and however they need us. It was a busy start of August opening seven new shops in less than ten days across the estate. Llanelli, Dafen Trade Park Blackpool, Tram Station Burnley, Rossendale Road Service Station Bristol, Abbey Wood Shopping Centre Drive Thru Eastbourne, Terminus Road Leicester, Fletton Close Tillicoultry, Affinity Sterling Mills Not only did we continue to strengthen our presence on traditional high streets, we have opened new shops at an industrial park, a transport hub, a factory outlet and a roadside service station as well as opening the doors/ window of our newest drive thru. As we work towards our goal of 140-160 net new shops in 2024, we remain focused on increasing our availability in locations where people work, travel and / or access by car so wherever you are you can always get a sneaky Greggs!
