I was lucky enough to spend some time recently with colleague’s in the Southampton region who had reached their 10 and 25 year anniversaries with Lidl GB They were full of stories highlighting incredible growth, technological changes and the bizarre and wacky events that can only happen in retail. Now, just a few weeks later, I’ve also joined the 10 year club 🍾 It’s hard to believe that it’s been a decade since starting in Northfleet RDC as a terrified trainee, trying to understand a retail giant for the first time. Then to spending an incredible 7 years in Head Office, across Wimbledon and Tolworth, trying to make a difference from behind the scenes through countless new L&D concepts. Very soon it will be nearly two years back in regions, working with unbelievable colleagues right on the frontline of our business. Lidl has offered countless opportunities for development and growth and provided a space to be creative, to be trusted and deeply fulfilled in a career. For those just starting out or those looking for a career change, I couldn’t recommend it enough.
