🚆 Shaping the future of rail mobility – reflecting on InnoTrans! 🚆 Last week, our colleague Anne-Laure Le Merre traveled from Brussels to Berlin aboard the InnoTrans train, a special journey organised by Europe’s rail in collaboration with UITP and other key partners. 🗨 Throughout the 7-hour journey, she engaged in discussions on the critical role regional and local rail passenger services play in enhancing daily mobility for European citizens. 💡 During the whole week in Berlin, UITP’s delegation in InnoTrans 2024 also highlighted how regional and suburban rail networks continue to drive forward sustainable, accessible, and integrated mobility. These services are crucial in connecting people to opportunities and keeping our cities and regions moving. I had the pleasure to moderate a panel on the #traintoInnotrans about #women employment in the #rail sector. It was a great experience with remarkable women (and one man!) leading initiatives and projects which aim to grow women involvement in #research and #innovation, in #leadership positions and in jobs traditionally reserved for men by fighting stereotypes, providing more flexible working conditions, developing skills mentoring programmes, promoting rail jobs to the youth, making role models more visible, etc. Kerstin Dämon Marit Ruuda Andrea Gentili Veronica Elena Bocci María Luisa Domínguez González Eglė Šimė Laura Pantone, MBA Valentina Ferrini Rana Maatouk Europe's Rail Joint Undertaking Women in Mobility Femmes en Mouvement UITP
