HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian strikes with an AMOLED screen

According to some fresh unofficial information, the still unannounced HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian for AT&T will feature a 2.46-inch touch-sensitive display that would be utilizing the AMOLED technology, which is known for providing a brilliant image quality. Well, back in May, when we first heard of the iPAQ K3, the leaked specs sheet listed a 2.8-inch screen, which is way better than the 2.46-inch possibility, but that full QWERTY keyboard on the front sure takes a lot of space… However, nothing is official yet, so we can’t be sure about any of these.

Other details about the hardware of the K3 make up for a pretty mainstream Windows Mobile smartphone. Actually, as confirmed by the images, the handset would be running on WM6.5, powered by a 528MHz processor, 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM. A 3.2MP camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm jack and а microSD slot for additional memory are also said to be on board.

The HP iPAQ K3 is indeed AT&T-branded on the images, so we presume there’s a chance the November 30 launch date we know of would actually turn out real. And what do you think, AT&T customers? Would the iPAQ K3 be a nice addition to the carrier’s catalogue?
