The Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A, which was announced shortly after the standard Galaxy S5, is the currently most hardware-packed device. The S5 LTE-A makes use of a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with the whopping 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. Powering the monstrous IP67-rated (dust- and water-resistant) phone is the very latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm - the 2.5GHz, quad-core Snapdragon 805 with an Adreno 420 GPU, along with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The rest of the specifications overlap completely with what the Galaxy S5 has to offer - a 16-megapixel ISOCELL camera, a fingerprint sensor, a heartbeat monitor, and a 2,800 mAh battery. Finally, the phone will be available only in Korea.

Best S5 Variant

This phone is near-impossible to find in the EU, and costs almost 200$ more than its regular counterpart. However the Galaxy S5 LTE-A more than makes up for these cons by offering doubled screen resolution, an extra GB of RAM and an improved Snapdragon 805 chip, amongst other things. Overall, despite its scarce availability and hefty price tag, this is the most powerful Galaxy S5 variant currently available, and its state of the art hardware and software components well justify the upgrade.

Awesome phone I just upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE 32GB and so far I am wrapped with the phone. Would recommend anyone in Australia who is going to purchase a S5 to get the LTE-A version. The bump up from 16GB to 32GB with an extra GB of RAM and the 2K display is well worth the upgrade.
