Now accepting new clients for SEPT/OCT 2024. I work with clients ages 17 to 40, both in-person in Waterloo, and virtually online. I have a passion for working with clients who are noticing childhood trauma responses appearing in their adult lives. I often see individuals who are working through trauma, processing anxiety and depressive symptoms. Therapy can be used as a great space to talk about what feel stuck, confusing, uncomfortable or incredible. I work collaboratively with you on your goals and the changes you would like to see in your life!
I use an eclectic approach, grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Existential Therapy. When working with clients, I use strengths-based and trauma-informed lens to be able to understand why we do what we do, and how to cope through our lives in the ways that work best for us.
Starting therapy can be a really nerve-wracking process! It is so important to feel connected to your therapist. Let’s find the time to discover what makes you the best version of yourself, what brings you joy and what causes you to feel pain. I find my sessions are often filled with laughter, swearing and usually an iced coffee or two, even in winter.
