My passion is to collaborate with individuals in a therapeutic setting to work towards reconnecting with their authentic selves. I respect the power of the human spirit and its ability to heal from the challenges and adversities encountered in life. I believe we all have many strengths and the power within to heal and problem solve. I see my role to support individuals to engage with their strengths and to grow and cultivate new skills and a deeper sense of self awareness and knowledge to help them live their best lives.
In my practice I utilize many modalities of practice that allow me to tailor treatment to meet the needs of my clients such as CBT, CBT for Psychosis, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment Perspective, Self-Compassion, Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
I have extensive experience working with diverse populations including individuals with various mental health issues and acquired brain injuries. I have worked for over a decade in a hospital setting in various mental health programs to support families and individuals and as a community based clinician.
