I created Sound Psychiatry and Healthcare to allow mental health to be available to rural Kansas. I live in Great Bend, Kansas where I work at a community mental health center four days a week allowing me to see patients independently on Mondays by telehealth and in person in Emporia and Dodge City, KS. I previously worked in Wichita where I would have patients drive hours from Western Kansas to be seen.

Jessica Wunder is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric and ketamine services for Discovery Behavioral Health (DBH). She obtained her BSN from Creighton University in 2007, and her MSN from Rush University in 2014. Dr. Subbu Sarma, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in addiction medicine. Dr. Sarma received his medical degree in 1999 at the St. Louis University Medical School. Since 2005, he has practiced addiction medicine and treatment methods.

Nancy Pierce is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified in Family Mental Health for child, adolescent, and adults. Ms. Pierce received her MSN degree in 2001 from the University of Kansas and completed both the Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner programs. Ms. Pierce has worked in almost all areas of nursing, including school nursing. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment plans and ongoing medication management, if needed. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in children 6+, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on ADHD, depression, and anxiety, I am dedicated to improving the mental health and overall well-being of my patients. I am passionate about providing compassionate and evidence-based care to those in need. As a result of this, I opened my Spravato (esketamine) CIII - Nasal Spray Treatment Center in May 2022. I am inspired by the significant positive changes this treatment brings to my patient's lives. Diane Gaunt is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years' experience. She graduated from Wichita State University with her MSN in 1990 and provides initial psychiatric consultations for diagnostic purposes, along with psychiatric medication management. Diane primarily treats adult and geriatric patients with anxiety disorders and mood disorders. She also treats other conditions, including PTSD, attention deficit disorder, and psychiatric problems associated with dementia.

Elizabeth grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas and lived there for most of her childhood. She completed her BS in nursing at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, and then her graduate studies to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Wilkes University. Fortunately for Elizabeth, she knew at a young age that she wanted to work in behavioral health. This awareness led her to pursue her experience and education in an early and deliberate manner.

I enjoy caring for moms, especially new moms. One of the things that pushed me into seeking more information about being a mental health provider was the great need for improved care during the peripartum period. I want to focus on caring for pregnant and post-partum parents. With my experience as a NICU nurse and a mom, I have a lot to offer in this area. I am also trained in Perinatal Mood Disorders by Postpartum Support International.

Dr. Dillon is a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in ketamine assisted therapy. He has been with Discovery MD since March, 2022. He has fellowship training in psychedelic assisted therapy, examining ketamine, MDMA, and psilocybin for depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Dr. Dillon is passionate about empowering patients in their own healing process and addressing root causes of behavior patterns. He is focused on helping patients achieve sustainable mental and physical wellness by integrating aspects of mind, body, and spirit.

I am very excited to announce that my private practice, PsychSolutions, is offering stellar psychiatric services to children, adolescents and adults. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I offer a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management for mental health disorders in children, adolescents and adults. Laura Young is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Kansas who has been practicing since 2021. Laura was born and raised in Kansas. Her post high school education began at Kansas City Kansas Community College, obtaining her Associates of Science in Nursing in 2009 at the young age of 20 years old on a presidential scholarship awarded from high school. She then went on to working as a bedside nurse for over 12 years. Laura went back to college, obtaining her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2018 while working.
