Brent Menninger is a Medical Doctor who has been practicing since 1993. He graduated from The University of Kansas in Lawrence KS and completed his residency at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in Topeka, KS. Dr. Menninger has been a Staff Psychiatrist at multiple hospitals in the state, along with being Chairman for the Department of Psychiatry at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Menninger believes in a holistic approach to psychiatric care, which includes treating the body and the mind, by using the basics of good health.

Dr. Kaur is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, with 15 plus years of experience in various psychiatry settings, include as academic facilities, community mental health & managing the mental health concerns of various professionals via teleconsultation. She is licensed in the states of California, Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Virginia.

Dr. Davila was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has been the Awakenings Medical Director since January, 2022. She completed her medical school training in Buenos Aires before moving to Kansas City where she completed her psychiatric residency training at UMKC. She has been practicing in the community since 1998 and has served in many positions in local universities and hospitals. She is a bilingual (Spanish) physician that has a passion for serving those in her community and helping with their needs.

I'm focused on medication management to address behavioral health concerns. After serving in the Air Force for a decade, I pursued nursing, and began working in the Emergency Room. While pursing my APRN at the University of Kansas I focused on mental health electives and diversifying my experiences with people of all walks of life. This background allows him to comfortably care for many populations, including my fellow veterans, first responders, children, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other underserved communities. I use evidence-based practices to collaboratively develop the best treatment plan for your mental health.

Karen L. Pulcher is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Kansas who has been practicing since 2018. Karen provides empathy, compassion, caring and understanding for the youth and the parent or guardian experiencing life related stress. She has been treating youth ages 7-18 for the last 4 and a half years with psychiatric and behavioral health issues. I enjoy caring for moms, especially new moms. One of the things that pushed me into seeking more information about being a mental health provider was the great need for improved care during the peripartum period. I want to focus on caring for pregnant and post-partum parents. With my experience as a NICU nurse and a mom, I have a lot to offer in this area. I am also trained in Perinatal Mood Disorders by Postpartum Support International.

Dr. Geenens is from Kansas City. He has over 31 years experience with specialization in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Geenens received his psychiatric training at the famed Menninger Clinic and Harvard Medical School and has treated thousands of patients in psychotherapy and medication management. Dr. Geenens founded Geenens Psychiatry with a vision to provide the highest quality holistic psychiatric care, blending psychotherapy with medication management. Dr. Geenens and his team of professionals strive for each patient to feel like a human being, met with empathy, understanding, and treatment they are involved in.

Angela is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is available to treat Kansas residents. She is experienced to treat a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions in children, adolescents, and adults. Angela advocates for her patients to meet all psychosocial needs. She nurtures patients to overcome barriers, using evidence-based solutions, and believes early identification and treatment is necessary for successful remission. Angela understands that each individual is unique, & works with the patient when building a therapeutic treatment plan to meet the best outcome!

Laura Young is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Kansas who has been practicing since 2021. Laura was born and raised in Kansas. Her post high school education began at Kansas City Kansas Community College, obtaining her Associates of Science in Nursing in 2009 at the young age of 20 years old on a presidential scholarship awarded from high school. She then went on to working as a bedside nurse for over 12 years. Laura went back to college, obtaining her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2018 while working.

Accepting NEW patients, we can get new patients in within a week! Telemedicine, treating most psychiatric conditions. We also offer personalized ADHD diagnosis and treatment, treatment for depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, as well as some addiction and substance abuse!

We work with clients with a wide range of concerns and ages, combining traditional pharmaceutical management with integrative medicine. We coordinate care with their therapist to ensure a well rounded approach to treatment. We use both in person and telehealth visits for established patients. All new patient assessments are in person.

Taking New Patients: I am a Board Certified Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with many years in community mental health, inpatient care, substance abuse, and private practice. I provide mental health medication evaluations as well as medication management. I work with patients across the life span. I provide a holistic approach when it comes to my patient's mental health needs.

I see patients from 3 years to 60 years of age and I believe in treating the whole patient: body, mind and spirit. My approach is a combination of medication management, and individual therapy, frequently augmented with a support group. I support the team approach, working collaboratively with other therapists or health care professionals. Frequently treatment is augmented with 12-Step study. I am readily available to all of my patients by phone and you can expect to speak to me personally on most occasions. Diane Gaunt is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years' experience. She graduated from Wichita State University with her MSN in 1990 and provides initial psychiatric consultations for diagnostic purposes, along with psychiatric medication management. Diane primarily treats adult and geriatric patients with anxiety disorders and mood disorders. She also treats other conditions, including PTSD, attention deficit disorder, and psychiatric problems associated with dementia.
