I am a very energetic and enthusiastic counselor who is passionate about helping CHILDERN/ADOLESCENTS with a variety of issues. I believe that it is important to build a trusting relationship with children and families in order to provide a safe place for them to open up about their struggles and begin making changes in order to heal. I also feel it is essential to encourage and empower my clients by recognizing and utilizing individual strengths. It is my goal to help clients feel comfortable with counseling as well as to facilitate quick changes.
Because children do not possess the communication skills that adults do, I use play therapy techniques to allow children to express themselves and communicate at a level that is developmentally appropriate for them.
At the heart of my practice is a love for the Lord. I can incorporate Christian counseling at a level that the client and family are comfortable with.
