From the moment we are born, our experiences and relationships shape the way we value ourselves, others, and the world around us. As we grow, some of what we learn from our experiences may be unresolved, or unprocessed, leaving us feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, angry, and/or confused. I believe that everyone is the expert of their own experience, and as your therapist, I want to help you explore your experiences, dive into strong emotions, and identify patterns in a way that makes sense to you, to help you better understand who you are, where you come from, and where you want to go.
Working together, we will address discomforts and their roots, focus on your goals, and desired growth, and collaboratively develop solutions in a way that works for you. As a graduate student intern, it is my goal to provide you with both a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental environment, and a genuine, positive, and empathetic relationship.
Beyond anything else, this process is about feeling comfortable with your therapist, and that is where my focus lies. You can expect my full attention, intention, and engagement at every step of this process. I am here for you and believe in your ability to grow. Seeking counseling is exceptionally brave, and I hope to be alongside you in your journey.
