Before these unprecedented times, we all had questions and struggled to find ways to cope and manage life's problems. Anything from how to manage my children who are struggling in school, my military veteran partner who is struggling with physical ailments from a 26 yr. career, or my aging parents living on a fixed income managing health issues. Every life trauma and struggle can be transformed into strength and beauty. My passion is to work alongside those who are determined to face their pain, fears, and limitations and discover their purpose in life. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, grief, adjustment issues, anxiety, and BPD. Every week, we have a DBT group meeting online. Additionally, I also work with people (artists, and athletes) who wish to develop their performance and creativity.

I specialize in both individual and couples counseling. Within that specialty I have years of experience with all aspects of infertility, including managing and coping with the entire process, as well as ovum donor and surrogacy. I work with both individuals and couples along the family building path. I I also have a specialty in sexual addiction. I have extensive experience with helping couples negotiate the issues inherent in this specific type of addiction.

Karen Rabins is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over thirty years of experience who specializes in working with adults. She treats people struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, parenting, relationship challenges, work/life balance, burnout and compassion fatigue, and low self-esteem. She has expertise in helping people navigate life transitions, such as the birth of a child, the empty nest syndrome, career changes, and life disruptions due to death, illness, caregiving, and divorce.

I specialize in treating PTSD/trauma, anxiety & depression, life transitions & stress management, grief & loss, and women's issues. I have a combined total of over 30 years working in the mental health field in public, private, virtual, and school settings. My style is relaxed, conversational, reflective, and solution-oriented, and I am naturally empathetic and intuitive. I integrate systemic, holistic, neuro-biopsychosocial, and traditional psychotherapeutic methods to assist you in your journey toward emotional and relational balance.
