Digital Eclipse revealed that its second interactive game and documentary, Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story, will arrive on March 13 and be available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
“Play the history of one of the weirdest, wildest game developers to ever exist — a man who loves shooters and sheep, lasers and llamas,” Digital Eclipse says of this release. “A virtual museum of design documents, 42 classic games from 8 different platforms, and all-new video features from the director of the upcoming film Heart of Neon tell the fascinating story of a true independent game designer.”

As noted in the quote above, Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story includes 42 different games that span Jeff Minter’s career across the Sinclair ZX81 and Spectrum, Commodore VIC-20 and C64, Atari 8-bit, ST, and Jaguar, and Konix Multi-System. There are many notable classics in there, from the ZX81 version of Centipede to Minter’s most iconic titles like Attack of the Mutant Camels, Gridrunner, and Revenge of the Mutant Camels, and there’s even a reimagined version of Gridrunner that is 100 percent accurate to the original C64 game play but features modern graphics and sound.
Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story is Digital Eclipse’s second interactive game/documentary packaging, following the incredible The Making of Karateka. You can learn more on the Digital Eclipse website.
