Affinity announced that its award-winning Photo, Designer, and Publisher apps are now free for 6 months with no obligation to buy. Those who do wish to switch to one or more of these apps can take advantage of a 50 percent off sale on all three products, too.
“One of the things we hear from potential customers is that they would value having an extended period to run Affinity alongside their existing software, to get used to the differences and adapt their working methods,” Affinity CEO Ashley Hewson says. “So we’re saying ‘try everything and pay nothing’ because we understand making a change can be a big step, particularly for busy professionals.”

You can find the free trial on the Affinity website: What you’re getting is the full Affinity V2 Universal license, which entitles you to all three apps on all supported platforms, including Windows, Mac, and iPad. The offer is available to new or existing customers, and Affinity says there’s no catch: You can try the software for free without ever providing a credit card number, and there’s no obligation to buy. All you need to do is create a free Affinity ID.
If you already know you want the Affinity apps, they’re all on sale now too, for 50 percent off. The Affinity V2 Universal License, normally $165, is now $83, and those who own the V1 version can upgrade for $62.24 (normally about $124). You can buy the individual apps, too. Affinity Photo 2, for example, is $35 for Mac or Windows, and $9.29 for iPad, or you can get a Universal License (to use the app on Windows, Mac, and iPad) for $83. There are business and education offerings as well.
