Demi Moore and Jon Hamm are bringing Hollywood sizzle to Texas oil country in the first look at the new show from "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan.
Photos released from the upcoming Paramount+ series "Landman" show Hamm looking dashing as oil tycoon Monty Miller and Moore looking glamorous as his formidable wife, Cami Miller.
“Cami is somebody who is not involved in the business but is running their entire life,” Moore told Vanity Fair on July 8. “They’re a couple that built this entire empire and family together.”
Moore also shared the shots from the show on Instagram on July 9.
"Meet Cami Miller. First look at @landmanpplus — premiering November 17 on @paramountplus!" she wrote.
The show, which also stars Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton as well as Ali Larter, Andy Garcia and Michael Peña, is set in West Texas.
It's based on the hit Texas Monthly podcast "Boomtown" hosted by journalist Christian Wallace and tells the stories of present-day billionaires and wildcatters pursuing oil riches in the Permian Basin region of West Texas. Moore, 61, and Hamm, 53, play central characters in the drama.
“Jon said to me at one point, ‘I think this might be the first time I’m playing a character who’s actually in a good relationship, where they actually have real love, commitment, and affection,’” Moore told Vanity Fair. “Her focus is her family and their social existence. It’s the ups and downs of keeping him grounded, healthy, and safe.”
"Landman" is the latest creation from the prolific Sheridan, who is also behind the shows "1923," "1883," "Lioness," "Mayor of Kingstown," "Tulsa King" and "Lawmen: Bass Reeves" on Paramount+.
Moore, known more for her big-screen work in hits like "A Few Good Men" and "Indecent Proposal," spoke to Vanity Fair about working with Sheridan on a television show.
"He thinks way ahead," she said. "He’s thinking through not just one season. He’s thinking through an epic story."
"He writes incredible, complex, dynamic and delicious women who are powerful, vulnerable, flawed," she added.
The announcement of the premiere of "Landman" on Nov. 17 comes after Paramount+ announced that its hit series "Yellowstone" will be wrapping up its five-season run with the final episodes beginning on Nov. 10.
Series star Kevin Costner announced in June that he is not returning to the show and will instead focus on his "Horizon" series of Western films.
